The best part that when I first heard it I thought "OMG is he dieing?" but then thought "Damn that actually made it better" was 3:33. His yelling is so..............undescribable.

One of the best breaking benjamin cover songs from the 80s legend of the era,such an amazing cover song from Depeche mode.Breaking benjamin one of the most underrated modern heavy metal/hard rock band ballad era 2000s and they are not category as a heavy metal band but they are categories as alternative metal/nu-metal/hard rock/rock/post-grunge band.The day I grew up with korn,deftones,staind,slipknot,linkin park,papa roach,drowning pool,avenged sevenfold,bullet for my valentine and more than that.

You all say that you hate it because you have a pre-conceived notion of the cover being 'perfect' or 'better than the original.' But here's the true fact of it; If you're a big fan of Depeche Mode you're bound to say this cover isn't as good as the original because you really enjoy it and hate seeing someone else singing it, mending it to their vocal style.

This is Breaking Benjamin. You have to hear it at least more than once to get that it is Ben singing. It just goes to show how awesome of a singer he is cause he has such a vocal range. This is cool and if you dont like it, dont listen to it and dont post that it sucks cause people dont want to read your comments dising on our favorite band.

my favorite covers of this song have been Anberlin and Lacuna coil. i havent found any other chick that can sing it as well as whats-her-name, and anberlin's cover is actually pretty kick ass. Props to whoever tries to cover this song cuz it's really not an easy task.

Breaking Benjamin is my favorite band. this is definitely them. however, i think Burnley could've done a LITTLE better singing it. but at the same time..I LOVE IT. ps. keep in mind, this is a live recording.

I do love both this version and the original. They tried something other than making it sound exactly the same and they made a great song out of an already amazing one.

Enjoy the Silence is a great song, and the reason why there are so many versions is because all these different bands have different interpretations of it. The songs themselves aren't necessary to have, but that doesn't stop these bands from showing us how they'd play the song.
I really wish they'd redo in a studio. x3 I love them in this song, and I'd probably still listen to this version even with the option of a studio. But still. At least that way those who can't hear past the LIVE-ness of this would shut up and realize it's an amazing cover.

If they made a studio version of this song it would seriously own any version of this song, including the original and I LOVE the original. Everyone that covers it has to studio enhance their voice to make it sound good. This is live people, no effects and its pretty good. Guaranteed nobody else beside Depeche Mode can do this song as good live

Sure this isn't their best performance, but its an old song from before they were really big. I still think its the best arranged cover of this song. Ben's voice wasn't as worked as it is now. I think that if they did this song at a show coming up, it would be absolutely amazing. Just my opinion, If u dont like this cover, thats cool. I think ppl understand. I like it though :)

They had very heavy grunge/post grunge roots and played post grunge years before they started alternative metal.
This was them at their prime.

Shinoda cover probably is THE best cover, it has power and he really brought out the most important part of the song, the background melody. But i do remember a cover by some girl, pretty good trance remix i must say, unfortunately i don't remember anymore whats it called it was long time ago.

Actually, they did record a cover of this song in the studio. Unfortunately, it was never released. It's floating around out there somewhere.
don't comment on the feeling and emotion of a live performance if you weren't there to see it for real. i've seen BB AND lacuna coil play this song live and BB puts a hell of a lot more feeling into it. maybe early on lacua coil did to but they mainly played it to get the crowd going

They would actually perform in Europe if his company provided him with a boat. They don't have a big fanbase here and if they did 1 tour, BB will be in so much demand.
