    Mammography tech here. Ladies please please do NOT do what this woman did. Early detection is key!! The earliest breast cancer is caught, the better your chances are for survival!! Get YEARLY mammograms done, especially if you have a family history of breast cancer!! 😢

      I have no breast cancer history in my family. I turned 40 in June. My family doctor told me to start getting mammograms at 45. Do you agree with that?

      I have dense breast tissue and I've heard that mammograms aren't great for picking up cancer in women with dense breast tissue. Should we be asking for additional screening?

      @@JustRaine97diagnostic mammogram & breast ultrasound are considerations if medically necessary. You can talk to your GYN and the radiologist about your concerns

    God I loved seeing Ananda Lewis on TV! This woman is still so very beautiful even until this day. So glad to see she's surviving strong while living through the cancer. Bless Ananda for taking accountability of her own body first before the battle with cancer. Learned much about Ananda Lewis in this very educational talk sit-down. Thank you ABS!

    I’m so glad to hear she’s doing better. The C word is so scary. During the interview she put a lot of focus on her eating and the mastitis. But, breezed over the fact her mother had breast cancer. That alone is the biggest contributing factor because it doubles her chances of getting cancer.

      the genetic connection to cancer means that it would have been better for her to have a double mastectomy instead of the natural methods.

      @@jayj.6146 Right. Stage 4 is incurable. At that point, any treatment is aimed at prolonging your life, not eliminating the cancer. At stage 3, there was still a possibility that it was curable with chemo, surgery, and likely radiation.

    I grew up watching this sista, and having the biggest crush on her. She’s a few years older than me, and this is very terrible news to hear. While she is still stunning, she also seems to be at peace with herself, and life. I hope she comes out on top for her Husband, and her Son.

    This is definitely a great PSA to listen to your body the first time. Our intuition is strong. If you think it’s something in your gut, go with it and get checked out. Please.

    I know she’s grown, but one would think that since her mother had breast cancer - and survived it - that she would have taken her mother’s advice. I’m sure her mother advised her to get a mammogram, especially if she found a lump during a self-exam.

    Take this as a lesson to take advantage of early detection. My body experienced cancer. My doctor told me her youngest cancer patient was 26 years old. Thankfully, cancer no longer has its place in my body. Life is worth loving and living. ❤

    THERE IS A REASON WE HAVE DOCTORS, PILOTS ENGINEERS, PLUMBERS AND ELECTRICIANS. THESE EXPERT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE WE NEED TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL NATION. IF HER MOM HAD BREAST CANCER SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HAVING HER YEARLY MEMOGRAM. THIS IS PREVENTABLE.

    breastfeeding is not an injury to the tissue. to the contrary, a buildup of breastmilk can form harmful blockages in the ducts if you do not breastfeed. there are virtually no downsides to breastfeeding

      She was talking about mastitis which is a common infection in breastfeeding women. Some research shows an increase in breast cancer for women who had the infection. Still, the benefits of breastfeeding for mom and baby far outweigh the cancer risk should mastitis develop.

      Mastitis is an infection of the milk ducts, and if you've had it, it's extremely painful. I breastfed for 2 years, and mastitis was a miserable experience. That's the injury she was referring to.

    Actually breastfeeding reduces your chances of breast cancer. So please dont blame it on that.

      @@davidsonm1981sorry hun. It definitely does reduce the chance. I two breast feed all 5 of mine. One child for 3 yrs & one child for 2yrs. The other 3 6-8 months. Breast feeding is natural. All this cancer comes from the chemicals and things we consume. Years ago cancer was not this rapid or bad. And breast feeding has been since beginning of time.

    She’s someone who doesn’t listen to anyone. I strongly believe her friends and family to get medical help (chemo or etc). Now, she’s in stage 4. So sad 😢

      So what it’s her life you people love doing wat other people tell you to do and I’m so for making g wats fits you best for you everybody can’t get chemo and radiation and everybody is not pressed to be here forever only reason I’m here still are my children I opted out to modern day treatment as well and I’ve had cancer ba k in 2019 and it went away had all my scans and everything I was told to do it still came back now I choose no treatment and eating better living better Living with stage 4 not dying

    I will do Western medicine as recommended, but I will also be fasting, taking supplements, strict food regimen (Keto-ish, low carb, no sugar) and utilizing acupuncture, chiropractic and whatever else will give me catharsis to shift energetically.

    She is a very intelligent woman. I think she would have gotten more actual monitoring done much earlier. Had she done the early mammograms she would have had a cancer free body. I know she didn't expect it to spread but she seems to have a major understanding of the biological aspect so she just might be the one to beat it.

    Like many people, she talks about the ways of her GrandMother but she misses the key component...the FOOD. A vegan diet promotes breast cancer, there is much research on this. What she needed is more animal foods but when she spoke of the chickens and rabbits her grandmother raised she said "I hope we didn't eat them." When, little does she know...that's EXACTLY what she needs!
