the visual gag of just putting a picture of israel on the map on screen instead of regular captions made me laugh WAY more than it should've, the editing in this one was honestly so amazing theo, actually amazing, also this mod looks so cool, if i played singleplayer more i'd absolutely do a playthrough with it sometime

There is just one rule: NEVER sleep in a ship, it bugs your game
I guess that makes sense, since it would be constantly moving and spawn points wouldn't work properly.
(At least, I *assume* that's the reason)
@@Cuprite1024 also, you would have to exit using the wheel, which means that (i think) attaching entities to the object would be harder
they are fixing this the get hub has a version ive been playing and it works every time died and spawned on the ship every time even if it moved

@@gamepunk7963 It's not really, its in a place called the shipyard that's somewhere around the world border. You can get the exact position by looking at a block on the ship with F3 on (if you try to teleport there it won't work)

Valkyrien Skies is a mod that uses something called "subworlds," basically a world moving within a world, which is how it's compatible with a lot of mods and how you can interact with the ships directly.
emphasis on "a lot of mods," there's some mods it doesn't work with or doesn't have perfect parity with, but the developers are working actively on fixing all of that.
Eureka! just works with that, and there's another mod in development called Clockwork, which provides more parity with Create.
edit; the sub-world thing does lead to some wonkiness, as you can have floating ship pieces that're pseudo-connected to the helm, I'm unsure if this'll be changed/fixed.
edit2; turns out, sub-worlds was their 1.12.2 thing. They use "shipyards" now, which someone in my replies has described already.
Does it work with immersive portals, and if so, can ships go through the portals?
@@realmaggymage that's already an open issue on their GitHub, something about the ships turning invisible, so no, not yet. There's plans to fix it though iirc.

I don't know if you mean the shipyard, but "sub-worlds" isn't a thing. Instead of recreating minecraft's block interaction logic from scratch, these blocks are actually placed in an area far away in the same dimension known as the "shipyard", these blocks are then rendered over the simulated physics object, and player/entity interactions are projected back onto the blocks in the shipyard.
There is one thing that you missed: the Mini Ship Creator (use the search tab in the creative inventory to get it). If you right click a block with the mini ship creator, It'll turn that single block(but no others) into a ship that's smaller than a block. You can then build off of this ship and make a tiny ship. Combine this with Pehkui, and it could be pretty cool.

I always thought Minecraft should really have buildable parts on vehicles, this is even better.
Create mod does actually work on this, clockwork just add more advanced physics and lets you make plane and helicopters and other flying stuff 2:05
i think it ads more ability to work with things of ship more also
I just realized with a datapack to spawn items, you could make a raft playthrough with this, but it actually moves instead of the items move

It is the mod we used before valcirian's sky existed.
You should see if you can combine this with the portal mod to make a moving airship or boat that can house a whole Minecraft base in a really small form factor without causing a bunch of lag that a large one of these ships would cause.

Hasn't this been around for years? I remember a very similar (if not the same) mod back in some of the old Yogscast modded series
That one was no where near as cool, after you made an airship it would become an entity and you couldn't build on it

I'm pretty sure it might actually just be an entity (mind you, hacked together one), as minecraft fundamentally doesn't process blocks on diagonals, therefore it would literally be impossible unless it was some form of entity.
The building at angles is cool and all, but man this is a HUGE step forwards for the mod since I've last played with it!
There was some air ship mods back in the day that were similar. I love these things

So this is Archimedes Ships, but actually good
if you shift while using cruise control, you can walk freely as the ship is moving.
I love the fact Theo took the iron golem to the forest right next to it's origin village.

Valkyrien Skies/Eureka is a cool tech demo to play around with creative mode, but Create: Simulated is an actually playable survival experience that takes you through tiers of technological progression. And arguably, Simulated will have a better physics engine with things like simulated ropes and magnets
So it's an advanced version of the old airship mod very cool.

Don’t forget to try aeronautics when it releases ; but VS and Eureka are like flywheel to create or Aero to Landlord
They both got their purposes I just really like the look for Aeros physics engine more for some dream create projects (like building a working mech like the pacific rim franchise )
Oh….create stuff does actually work on eureka ships without clockwork it’s just a more create centric flight method like wings propellers and shit . Infact my first working minning vehicle was made with it ; it works by just digging a shaft straight down and sifting out the stuff at bedrock but it works XD

yeah and if you follow pheonixSC you know that minecraft (vanilla) has a snapshot and they made it so you can make any block or thing into an entity and you cna write physics for the entity and oh idk make it float in water like just boble up and down its really god damn cool
