Feels really good to come across this channel.for 5 months i was into no poo n try mostly boil rice water along with reetha shikakai n some local herbs.also my hair really love egg white and fresh aloe juice mask.i have wavy hair n i saw lot of improvement.but due to hectic schedule i had to go for less poo n i am currently using arata products.the cream and gel is irritating to my ear and neck.shampoo and conditions works pretty well.next time i will definitely try the ones mentioned here

Hi, I have wavy hair and recently I have started CG method. I have watched many videos but nobody tells how to keep preserve the curls in the daily routine through out the day ( not in the sleeping time). I am living in delhi and there is very humidity so how can I tie my hair comfortably so that my curl pattern won't be disturbed. Mere curls sirf usi din rehte hai jis din me wash karti hu jese hi me baalo ko tie karti hu pura pattern bigad jata hai.
So please suggest me what is your daylight routine (whole week) to tie your curls till the next wash or refreshing method.
Please make a separate video on how you maintain your curl pattern in daylight till the next wash or refresh.

U had any hair treatment before? Like keratin treatment to repair etc? Despite of following curly hair routine since a few months there is a section of my hair, that is the one at the back, who are not doing so well... Rest the hair in front look so pretty...just like yours! So I m not able to understand why this difference in my hair, front and back! Probably because I sleep on cotton pillow, but satin is not comfortable... Suggest something please

    • @TheCuriousJalebi

Yes I had keratin or smoothening done almost 10 years back! I've written about it here- thecuriousjalebi.com/2017/02/22/get-back-curls-after-chemical-straightening-heat-damage/
Is your hair straightened you mean? If not, understand that all of us have such sections! I have one right in the front that's way wonky. You can style that section separately and even try finger coiling!

    • @TheCuriousJalebi

Totally depends on your hair! If you have very loose curls or waves usually conditioning it really well and then just using a gel or a mousse can be enough. If you have very curly hair, like me or even ,more, a leave in makes your curls more defined and hydrated. :)

    • @TheCuriousJalebi

Shampoo and conditioner get washed out. A leave in conditioner or curl cream is MEANT to be left in your hair and is formulated that way. Products used in CG method are free from mineral oils, drying alcohols. As long as you don't apply on your scalp, apply good products and clarify regularly it will be fine

Shedding hair is completely normal, especially for us curly hair girls as we do not wash our hair every day. On average, a person loses 100 strands of hair a day. So, you can imagine if you wash your hair every third day, it's bound to shed more as you haven't combed it for 3 days. Just be super gentle while handling your hair when detangling and it should be fine. :)

The brand sent it to me and I've genuinely loved using it even on my face.-
See there are two types of oils, light Vs Heavy, Sealing Oils vs penetrating.
Mostly without making it too complicated, oil on curls can be used before shampoo (light oiling is preferred so you don't overdo shampoo to remove it) or right after your last styling product- just a few drops to give some shine and 'seal' your curls from drying up too fast.

You can use a narrow comb. Any detangling brush should give similar results. Just remember to be gentle with any other brush, this flexi has flexible soft bristles so doesn't snag or break hair

Brush before shampooing once with some oil. Remove all big tangles and major knots. And while condiitoning, use a very slipper conditioner which makes detangling easy. be gentle then and always start with your fingers, then wide tooth comb or detangling brush (like a flexy brush)

Hair once treated, even cysteine, may not go back to your normal hair ever. Salons use different formulations of cysteine and some make it permanent. Best way to deal with this is to cut off the straightened part slowly while taking care of your new curly hair with the tips on my blog.

@@TheCuriousJalebi @The Curious Jalebi After I wet my hair I just apply a handful and keep it for 5-6 minutes and then rinse it out. If it's just the conditioner, my hair will look good for an hour and then becomes dry and later frizzy. But while pairing with an oil it seems to tame the frizz a tad better. I haven't used it as a leave in yet, so I don't know how it'll turn out. Btw I don't use any styling products, gels make my hair super brittle and what I want is bouncy hair

But di, we should not brush our hair while they are wet

    • @TheCuriousJalebi
      @TheCuriousJalebi  4 года назад

If you do it right- gently first with fingers, then a wide tooth comb or a brush specifically meant for easy wet detangling, it is fine. It is the reason why my curly hair doesn't poof up very frizzy. If you comb curls dry everyday, it will become a frizzy cloud.

You don't need to follow cg exactly as Lorraine Massey wrote it! I comb my hair, not daily but twice or thrice a week when I have to condition and comb, style and comb. The other days, spray some water on your hair to freshen it and smooth a little gel on the frizzy sections. This is called Refreshing. I have a video on this check that
