A product of the Ulster academy, Farrell played his rugby with Grenoble in France before returning to Ireland with Munster for the 2017/18 season. It didn't take him long to break into the Ireland team, winning caps against Fiji and Argentina in November before a MOTM performance against Wales in the 6 Nations
