I have still got this on an old cassette from 1982 from a radio london reggae rockers show i knew it was johnny clarke but never knew the title so to now track it down is good. cheers
@MrPegbar Also...on the B-side of this 12" is a heavy dub with a guy named John Kpiaye playing Lead on his guitar! Have you heard the Matumbi album called "Seven Seals" it has a tune called "Guide Us" by them with the same lyrics of this Johnny Clarke tune but it has a different riddim or backing track. And Matumbi was Dennis "Blackbeard" Bovell's band.
@DONANDERS1025 I would say Dennis Bovell was on bass cuz he's an incredible bass player. Thats what he plays in his current band. Im not sure who's on drums if I had to guess I'd say Drummie Zeb from Aswad or maybe the matumbi drummer. The rest of the band I have no idea probably members of matumbi and aswad. And I know Dennis Bovell records and mixes most of the stuff he produces so the wicked dubwise is from Mr Bovell also. An incredible man and musician! Yes bredren ONE LOVE!
