Great Interview..Angie is lovely and talented. Angie really remembers a lot about the early times and how the record business worked and how the bulk of the rewards would end up in the hands of the producers, songwriters, music publishers, artist managers and record labels. (I guess it's always been like that..) and Angie knew all about the pirate radio scene in London (the Landbased and offshore pirates). I laughed when she mentioned Mud :) I think today it's really about niche popularity.. very few songs cross over to mass appeal.. The official charts don't mean much today and few people care or give charts any attention.. Only record companies use the charts to hype their tracks to radio airplay.
she is and was awesome to chat to, all that and bloody lovely to boot. they dont make many of these these days !!! Woudl be so grateful if you would subscribe
