As soon as I saw the spot you chose for your last comp, looking down that long trench towards your subject, I knew you'd found your best shot of the day...divine B&W found in uninspiring grey conditions. Niiiice.
Beautiful location Adam thank you for sharing your video as always you're images were amazing. I know you do a lot of forest and inland landscapes but your seascapes are absolutely fantastic especially the way you capture the motion and power of the sea.
Very interesting seeing you shoot in the UK how different your style is and the finished images. Just goes to show how location make all the difference.
Lovely vlog Adam, them sea stacks looked awesome! Very jealous lol what a wild place that is. I really liked the high key rock shot at the end with the longer exposure. Take care mate
As usual, another nice video. You really have an eye for composition! That last black and white picture at the sea makes the ocean waves ALMOST look like a fog bank.
Hi Adam, you are still the Master of Composition. May I suggest a idea for steadying the tripod, in particular high winds at the coast and cliffs. I added to the armoury of photo aids a dog tether corkscrew and bungee cords which I keep in the back of the car for those occasions. I very pleased to see that use my idea of showing the Raw Image followed by the processed one. And I am still enjoying your book on photographs which I received from my wife Edith as a gift…
Beautiful drone intro... great advice on cameras and tripods in precarious positions... I really liked the 'ghostly' appearance of the first image of the sea stacks, approx 12:40-45 and again at 13:18
Seascapes - my favourite genre. Some stunning shots here Adam, particularly liked those two towards the end. Really captured the beauty of the waves crashing against the rocks.
It is good up North but it looks as if the weather was relatively tame for your visit. I assume you watched Nick Page blog on the Faroe Island trip where a client lost his camera over the cliff.
The photo around 13:00 had my preference because of water streams drawing lines on the rocks and the color tone of the rock formations. All this kind of photos keeps on to be fascinating, raw nature at its best. Beautiful work, your colleagues will be jealous.
Thanks for another great video. I would really like to know how you processed the photo at the 12:38 mark. Pre processing the foreground water was all whitish as if covered by a mist. Post processing the white is mostly gone and replaced by greenish blue water.
Fantastic places for photographers, the sequences with the drone are remarkable. The last photo, and its variations, are something incredible for their beauty !!! One of your best videos ever !!! Thanks so much ...
Truly stunning, Adam! The earth is a beautiful piece of rock, and your ability to capture it in all of its breathtaking beauty is inspirational to say the least! Thank you for sharing!
Your first beach is Garry Beach with the more difficult to pronounce Tràigh Mhór behind you over the headland. There was another campervan with six MacReekies in it at Tràigh Mhór, searching for you - that was a narrow squeak! Their clan's ancestral home is less than 5 miles away at Breibhig and they'd have installed you as chieftain and started cooking the gugar to celebrate. You wouldn't like gugar.
Another awesome video. Have to agree with everyone else, the last image is absolutely amazing 🤩 it's so dreamy and mystical. I also love the second shot...with the two sea stacks and the water trailing around them.
Have you seen Nick's latest Vlog where one of the Workshop attendees loses his Sony camera when the quick release plate fails and it falls off a cliff in the Faroes?
Love the videos, Adam. My wife and I always look out for them and we have really enjoyed this recent Scotland series, especially this one. It reminds me of the one and only time I visited Lewis in the 80s and loved it. Fantastic images, especially the last few. So nice to see photos that are crafted and not over edited 👍👍👍
Lovely locations and photos Adam and the BnW really adds to the mood. Just my opinion, in the shots you took long exposures and the ocean is silky smooth and to me they don't show the power and excitement that a faster shutter speed would express. For rivers and streams you want the peaceful and tranquil feeling a slower shutter gives you.
I like the last 2 exceptionally well, but then its Scotland. You could aim your camera about anywhere . What I like most is the filter use to slow the shutter. The one just before the bw is probably my favorite bc water can create really beautiful scenes by slowing the shutter. The bw one is also a great one! It almost looks like the sea is a cauldron of witches brew. Great job AG!!
Really enjoying your adventures / work. On another show can you photograph a waterfall and do it in one take/ image. I don’t edit at your level Working on it. Thx ! Pete
Lovely stuff Adam as usual, love the B&W sea stacks shots, I took some very similar shots in Western Oz a few yrs back, Also y=tahnks for sorting out delivery of the Beanie to my son In Victoria, he is made up with it !!
I would have loved to see that last shot at 1 sec or .5, just to see more detail in water but slow motion blur. I also like the 13 sec as a different style but I would get both. (I know I’m not telling you anything you don’t know). BTW I’m old as hills and been shooting since 1965! Pam loved her beanie too!!!!
Holy crap that last location was amazing! I have a friend that live on Lewis and Harris and I always try to get her to come to the mainland ... I'm going to have to get out there for a long over due visit! 😄
I learnt the hard way not to turn your back on your camera even for a moment. I was set up on a cliff, turned to get a filter and when I looked back the camera and tripod was in the sea at the bottom of the cliff.
The image at 13:00 was so so beautiful. I backed up the video a few times just to look at the image more.
Amazing images!!! Looks like you enjoyed your trip. Thank you for bringing us along via RUclips!!!
Oh my Gawd!!!! That scene at the end was [no spoilers]. Ah screw it. it was amazing! LOL.
such a lovely BW photograph near the end! not that the others aren't, but that last one is just so stunning. As always, awesome photographs.
those last two were absolutely epic.

Lewis has fantastic coastline. Having a guide is great, but exploring alone finds rewards a plenty. The rain pants are something else,

Lovely video, Adam. You always come up with beautiful compositions and draw the viewer right in.
Holy Moly that B+W image is absolutely superb with a ton of drama and atmosphere, love it! ✨✨✨

Wow, the guy books a trip with Alister Benn and Adam Gibbs and Thomas Heaton show up!
Top job again Adam 👌

Some lovely photos Adam, it’s nice to see your interpretation of the landscape of Lewis 👏👏
Thanks for another great video. I would really like to know how you processed the photo at the 12:38 mark. Pre processing the foreground water was all whitish as if covered by a mist. Post processing the white is mostly gone and replaced by greenish blue water.

The image at 12:48 is absolutely stunning!
Great video, as always.

The master at work, top dollar as per usual
I think you really captured the feel of that place!
Really liked the B&W at the end you could almost mistake it for mountain tops if you didn't know better, I like the ambiguity.
More AG drone footage! Excellent! Loved that B&W pano. Hope to see it for sale on your website. Cheers!

Hehe!
Another awesome video. Have to agree with everyone else, the last image is absolutely amazing 🤩 it's so dreamy and mystical.
I also love the second shot...with the two sea stacks and the water trailing around them.
Beautiful images once again Adam. I live in the UK and have never visited Scotland for photography, I aim to change that when I get my new van.
Quite dramatic scenery. Some gorgeous images. 👍 🥂
Adam, as always, you have stunning work! Thanks for what you do. Cheers!
Have you seen Nick's latest Vlog where one of the Workshop attendees loses his Sony camera when the quick release plate fails and it falls off a cliff in the Faroes?
A good impression of Lewis and Harris. Indeed two totaly different surroundings. Good photowork of the coast of Harris. Thnx for showing Adam.
Stunning images!

Awesome location and shots Adam.
Also don’t forget your camera is wrapped up inside your sweatshirt in your backpack when your on a cliff side and it gets a bit chilly. 😳😢
Really enjoying your adventures / work.
