@bhargavhangal when you say that, I just feel so miserable. Hats off to people like you who recognized his talent when he was alive. I am among those who never watched SSR movies when he was alive and recognized his talent. Except Pavithra rishta which I always remember him for. For me he is Pavithra rishta hero, where his face and voice both evoked hidden sorrow or sadness which I never understood why at that point. I saw chhichhore, Kai po Che, 3idiots but without registering his presence in the films so much. To me he was Pavithra rishta hero and his soulmate Ankita.

I became his fan after watching Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. It's funny how people don't miss a single change to mourn about SSR now, on the other hand when he was alive no body gave him the recognization that he deserved. If The people who are now ‘boycotting’ Bollywood for his death appreciated his work even if a little bit, the things would be different today. If you really wanna boycott something then boycott yourself for overlooking this gem when he was alive

Just watched lootera, i have had always heard about it as a flop and slow movie. But finally took time to watch it, i have already read O. Henry's "The last leaf " in my school days and it has been one of my favorite stories. The rendition of it into an Indian story was so beautifully done almost like an original, the movie builds up so beautifully like the innocence of a child, each scene is a piece of art in both the halves, you can just capture them as photographs and keep them, the songs hits you and rekindles your own incomplete romance. I have two favorite scenes:
    1. Pakhi asks Varun to paint leaves in her landscape but he knows nothing about painting, but he promises her that he will make his masterpiece one day, in the second half when Pakhi associates her life to the leaves of the tree, that scene was truly a masterpiece for me, made me realize it was the story of "the last leaf".
    2. When Varun tells Pakhi his real name "Atmanand Tripati" and they share a short giggle, it made me immensely happy and sad at the same time, hopeless love(romance). They both know they wont ever be together but still they continue to love eachother and cherish the moments they shared. Although its a classic tragedy movie, it brings joy to be able to experience such an art in the form of cinema. Thank you to the director Vikramaditya Motwane Sir. ❤

Byomkesh Bakshi was the most accomplished film in Sushant's filmography. His performance was great but even greater were the performances by Neeraj Kabi, Anand Tiwari and Meiyang Chang. Meiyang Chang's performance was extremely effective. Those of you who have watched the film might agree with me when I say that the villain of the film was of the kind that the Hindi film industry had not witnessed for decades. Cold, calculated and brutal. Also, the VFX were great.

    Hi Team Social!
Here is an opinion that I would like to put forward wrt the film Byomkesh Bakshi! no wonder the highest point of the film was Sushant's acting and the Cinematic spectacle that it created through its set and backgrounds!
But being a Bengali myself and an avid reader of the original Novel! story-wise the movie actually lost the mystery and the choking atmosphere that generally the novels of Byomkesh Bakshi depicts! But on a serious note many renowned Bengali actors have beautifully presented the character on screen but Sushant has done a brilliant job in portraying the character in his own bubble of brilliance!
