Kevin, next time you are trying to get a tire to bead-up on a rim. try putting a 2" ratchet strap around the center of tread and tighten it. it will cause the out side of the tire to push out towards the bead lip.
If I were to hazard a guess, the new building has to do with machinery storage and a new shop for Kevin and the guys. It's such a challenge when the electricity is off for an extended period, a few years ago a winters snow (22") had ours out for 3 days. When you have extremely hot weather do you change the cows ration at all? Have a blessed and safe week.
We don't change the ration, but we do change the frequency. Feeding smaller amounts more often so the feed doesn't heat. Cows won't eat hot feed.

I can't believe the tire beaded up with that little pop. I get either a boom or a fizzle.
A ratchet strap in the center of the tire will sometimes help by pulling the center of the tire in forcing the outside tire walls against the rim
That's what I had to do and worked like a charm.
Never had any luck with that, starting fluid works well.
Now when McKenzie in On Scene, she is Armed and Loaded with a Lot of Funny Comments. 😬👍🙏
Thank you Ronda for posting! Watching the progress on the building will be enjoyable as you have time to video and post!
Best and blessings to your family!
A Generator is a Necessity and especially on a Working Dairy Farm. Glad to hear you had Options to Help a Neighboring Farmer get Power to Help with various Work Tasks.
Thats poor, the USA are so poor powered ? Never known that, never had this in europe
@@oldfarmer3001Storm took the electric lines down as Ronda said
A tire air cannon is like 100 bucks and we use it all the time. I think it would be worth the investment.
Yes I used to do the starting fluid thing until I had a tire blow up. I bought a bead blaster after that.
I enjoy your videos so much, Ronda. Thank you! It was nice to see Kevin and all the boys working together. The world would be in a lot better shape if there is more families like yours!
Thanks for your kind words!!
When I see hard working families like yours makes me proud to be an American!🇺🇸
Hope the new structure turns out great 👍
Thanks for the nice video, Rhonda! Lots going on with the farm. Having the power out is a real pain, but the generator makes it a lot easier I guess. The guys did well wrestling the tire - it's always hard with big tires work but better to do it in the yard as you said! Have a great week! 😀
Another very interesting video Thank you 😊😊😊😊
Thats the way to fit a tyre..... hope you get on with the build....Stay safe and see you soon
Thanks for sharing your story, keep up the good work and good times ahead , God’s blessings 🙂
Hard working crew !!!!
Bravo Rhonda Kevin and family nice weather out always great viewing your posts blessings
Almost 4th of july and first cutting hay still standing here. Always rains a couple times a week.
Your kids talk so much its hard for you to get a word in 😂😂
Sanders is really starting to look like Sydney. I sometimes have to take a closer look to see which one it is.
You were pushing those boys buttons 😂
Me alegra ver que hay nuevas crías en la granja, además de un nuevo proyecto... 👌👏👍
That building will be a very nice addition for the farm.
Good fix
Love it, mom razing the boys. Cheers.
I really enjoy your videos. Your family works together, which is great. This really helps in all situations. You are a hard worker yourself and have a kind voice.
Excellent video Rhonda, that was fun bringing down the old building
The new building is going to be great!
When I was still on the farm, we were at the very end of the electric service and only had a 60 amp transformer. The barn cleaner took 11 minutes to make one pass.
Picked up an old 20 k pto drive generator that didn't work. Had it fixed for the price of new brushes. Hooked it up to the barn for testing. Used the JD 4020. The lights were much brighter and the barn cleaner only took 7 minutes for one pass.
Once we new it would work we put a plug in for it on the power pole betwen the house and barn. Power came from the road to this pole then split to go to house and barn. Shortley afte that the transformer blew and they replaced it with a 200 amp. Worked much better.
no more winter!
As always, very enjoyable video, Rhonda !! Thank you family !! Great idea on the grease on the rim Mr. Kevin !!! Not only does it aid in sealing, but it keeps the rim from rusting at the bead and also keeps the tire from adhering to the rim. Making break down next time much easier !!! Please be careful and God bless you all !!! Eddy
Good Morning Kevin and Ronda. I assume you are having a very lovely and productive day
Alway love catching your videos it really makes my day as always your friend from Massachusetts Kenny Dean 😊
Praise God you have kids to help on the farm
What a great video, working on the job how quant.
Good morning 🙏 🌄 ☺ 🎉
From keavy Kentucky I hope you and your family having good day
I am hoping you and your family having a good July 4th holiday week
you could use the lumber you took down build small green house addition on the house lol.
The generator, the most important but least used piece of equipment on a dairy farm. I know what it's like to be without electricity. We had a bad ice storm on new year's eve in 2005. It snapped power poles like toothpicks. We had no electricity for 13 days. Cummins brought a semi load of generators to the fairgrounds. Needless to say l bought one!
Another great video!
Grease is an old trick, help to seal up old rusty dirty rim beads, and it's cheap when you buy 5 gallon pails at auctions.
Thanks for a wonderful video
A pleasure to watch you all ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Like the t- shirts you have in your store,,, ordered 3 light blue ones, and if you could Rhonda, tell Kevin the tractor size he suggested to get worked out great ( ih- 856 ) fixed it up, it’s been running great
Awesome!! Thanks!
Great video we could sure use some of that rain
I like the grease idea, keeps the rim from rusting out, My cat found a nest of baby bunny rabbits, and that was the end of the rabbits. I wasn't very happy with my cat. Thanks for sharing, your cool farming life.
Thanks for sharing your video with us. Just a idea have you ever thought of purchasing a tire fitting machine it makes life so easy when changing tires. Have a great day . Blessings to all 😀❤️🙏🏻
I'm pretty sure that one for huge tires would have a large price tag on it.
You could put a strapped around the tire, tighten that up and it helps.😊
beautiful video e family bay bay,,,,,,,,,,
THANKS!
Never heard of using grease great video
👍 👍 💯 Enjoy
Hi Ronda and Kevin I just love how the boys are working with their dad don’t see that anymore I lucky because my kids they help me out alot and as always you all be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Lol😂 Menard's and crooked lumber! That is so true! If you want straight lumber you need to dig through the stacks yourself or buy elsewhere, they have always been that way!
It seems like the smaller hardware places get better lumber, my local place has rejected entire bundles, and the trucker said he would be going to a big box place, and they would take it!
Buen día, saludo desde Bogotá Colombia
Really enjoyed your video
Thank you!
I love you guys your videos are so awesome God bless y'all ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
A hydraulic thumb would be good on the excavator
Big toys for big boys. Nice video everyone. Demo this, building that, baby Bunnies & baby Cows. You's guys are always busy. Thank you for the invitation to watch. FYI: When my Mom got up in age we got her a whole house generator that ran from her 1,000 gallon propane tank and came on automatically when the electricity turned off. It worked very well for almost 8 years. It was so automatic and trouble free that sometimes I came over and it was running but she didn't even know it. I just wanted you to know so you might consider one for the milking operation for those times when the electricity fails and you're right in the middle of milking. Or when it stays off for a day or two. OK, FB &.looking forward to the next time. tnx ben/ michigan over by Flint
We've talked many times about getting an automatic start-up generator. Maybe one day...
Those are expensive, and the power unit + the automatic switch is expensive. The farm already has tractors, so a PTO unit is more economical.
Your husband could build a beedblaster with how much they build stuff.
I wish we had temps in the 80’s we’ve been having heat warnings with index of 112 too hot for me. I need to borrow that excavator to tear my old barn down. lol
Sorry you're dealing with such extreme heat. It's been comfortable here for the last several days.
@@acresofclayhomestead Thank you. Hope yall continue to have nice weather.
Put a strap around the tire and it will push sides tight to rim to get a seal started.
Ronda was soooooooo funny with her comments to Kevin about saving some of the old lumber for "Wife Projects"!!! I remember as a kid, losing power before milking time. We did not have a generator back in the 60's and 70's. We would pull up our Allis Chalmers "WC" tractor to the barn. It had a special attachment on the intake manifold, which we could run a special hose from the tractor to the vacuum tank of the milking machine. We normally ran with 4 milkers, but the tractor vacuum was only able to handle 3 milkers. But it was better than trying to milk around 20 cows by hand. With the Ratchet straps you had, maybe you could have put one around the center of the tire, to help force the sidewall beads outward to help seal better.
Si pudiera, ayudaría con mi mano de obra en esa construcción...me gusta esa labor!
I've been seeing a lot of power outages in Michigan. Some of them are for longer than 24 hours. Hope the best for y'all
Could have used that part for a paint booth
If you slightly lowered the tire onto a 2x4 in the center bottom it will squeeze the bead against the rim..
A new shop for Kevin is what the popular guess is, I'd say that's a pretty good guess. Anyways, we had issues with the electric going out in the spring, unfortunately we have a small generator and it's not quite capable of keeping more than just the absolutely necessary things going. That was a deal on the used tires for the manure spreader, I mean why not, it's just for the farm. Had one adorable calf there and the baby rabbit too. Have a good evening and a great week too.
I love to watch y'all's videos that is a very cute baby rabbit i would have kept it lol keep up with the good work and don't work too hard.
You put a ratchet strap around the tire and crank it down It will seat the bead too
👍👍👍👍
They didn't Kevin get that spreader for your 40th birthday present? I remember when Sanders had rabbits but he wasn't so tall. Boy has he grown up. Great family. Bless you.
You're funny Ronda!
Watch out! FIRE in the TIRE! Also, I've never seen a floor jack that has a good controllable release. It seems like it would be very easy to implement. How annoying.
How often do you have power outage there ?
Pienso que van a construir una bodega taller...🤔
Either works
Those calves are sure cute. The new building is going to be a good addition to your farm. Everyone works well together. Thank you for sharing your projects.
A Sunday morning video. Does this count the same as going to church??? I northern Wisconsin we have a few power outages a year. A lot of people buy a generator. You are always fixing and building thing. I wish I had you health and talent.
Lol, no, this doesn't count as church!😊
The grease helps the tires come back off easily?
There is a good reason why farmers have lots of children, to help around the farm, and it's cheap labor! 😅
I think tge grease would be good to keep rust away. I'm kinda surprised they didn't try to dismantle that shed instead of just knocking it down. Could it be a new shop?
Get some bead soap, works like grease, buy much easier to clean up and not so hard on your hands and clothes.
Ethan build a big house😁.
Is the new building gonna be a new shop. Video awesome, as always. Hot and dry in Virginia. Your friend.
Good guess!
Blast tank $125 maybe.
Rhonda from experience Sanders will go from lawnmowers to motorcycles then girls!
😬😭
I know what the boys was thinking they were thinking oh come on mom leave us alone. But I know you’re a big tease and I know they enjoy it. 😂😂😂
When off camera, they always have something funny to say. 🤣😂
Happy Sunday always glad to get to see you're Beautiful EYES 👀
You guys are so silly 😊
😂
how is making dry hay? i have adhd and i decided to cut hay which wasnr the greatest ideal.we got over an inch of rain
Does the loss of power throw the cows off as far as the milking schedule goes?
You run the generator and get them milked, period.
Eerste groetjes Jan 👍🇧🇪
Dankjewel
me and other farmers in sioux county iowa got flooded out so zeroed out.
Oh no!!
Looks like Sanders got the 6.0 on the road?
Yes, he has been driving it since March. 😃
Is it hard to get building permits? Do you need drawings and township approval?
We had over 4 inches of rain in just over 1/2 hour on the 28th of June in Lucas county in ohio
Wow!!
do you have a home depot by you? they figure 10% of every lift is junk lumber
Ronda you never said what the new barn is for !!!!!!!!!
Kevin wanted to keep it a mystery. 😄
Sorry you had to wait while those union workers got the Governors power back on ?
Looks like Sanders got his money's worth out of his jeans 😅
Lol!! Those are his favorite jeans, and won't let me throw them away. 😭😄
A Motely Crew of characters. Love the banter between family members. The grease didn't do the job but it got to be put on everywhere and not to be re-used. The power outage makes you want to run your own hydro electric system. Solar, windmills, water dams or maybe some new technology.
You need a cheeta
