  • This beach along with some other local spots are now undergoing some routine dredging to move sand that accumulates around the harbors. This is only a temporary fix but has created unique wave conditions in the past. At a different beach last season the dredging created a crazy wave producing sandbar that lasted about 2 months. This is the last session before the dredging began. I am stoked to see what kind of waves this will produce! Best wishes & pure love…

wish they would dredge over here. all the sand is going so far out it breaks 50x before it gets to the actual sandbars. cant hold anything bigger than waist high. seems like they dredge a lot along the east side of lake mich from what i was hearing this past weekend there

I kinda laugh at my title because I don’t know if they have sucked any sand as of yet! Thought they were starting in July. It’s a big improvement when they do! Last time around it created some heavy barrels no exaggeration! That was up the coast a little I don’t ever remember dredging at this break. Inside the harbor yes but I don’t recall the sand getting put back on the beach creating a sand ledge in the water. Hope you score some deeper sand! The south end is interesting because it can only build up so much sand due to a strong rip that is always pulling out to deeper water. There are some sandbars down there that are 6-8’ deep! I saw you catch a wave from afar off last weekend. Didn’t know if it was you for sure but then saw your post. It’s easy to see your dedication man great surfing!
The break and reform with energy loss can be a bummer over/down here as well so I will add we are not immune!
