Hi i originally had an 109025 multicode but cant find another one so i got a 109020. The 109025 comes with four wires and the 109020 with 3 wires. How do i make the new 109020 work with that extra 4th wire. Thanks

IF YOUR STANLEY MULTICODE RECEIVER IS NOT WORKING ON ANY REMOTE I HAVE A FIX: THE STANLEY 1090 RECEIVER (AND LIKELY OTHERS) HAS A SILVER METAL STICKER INSIDE THE CASE BACK COVER THAT CAUSES THE RF SECTION OF THE RECEIVER TO NOT WORK INTERMITTENTLY. THE STICKER IS NOT GROUNDED SO IT CAN OSCILLATE WITH NEARBY AC AND OTHER RFI. REMOVE THE BACK OF THE 1090, REMOVE THE STICKER USING NAPTHA, AND IT SHOULD WORK FINE. WHOEVER DESIGNED THE STICKER IN THERE DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT RFI. NOTE: CHANGING THE DIP SWITCHES DOES NOT CHANGE THE FREQUENCY (SOME FOLKS THINK IT DOES).

I opened a remote and a metal washer came out. Can you tell me where it should go back in the remote?
