I'll take any input Chris! I'd only made a total of 5 passes in my life before that so I obviously have a lot to learn. it also doesn't help that I'm 255 suited and the bike is setup for road racing/ mountain riding (stock height, aggressive gearing (-1,+2) and super short wheel base). A weight reduction mod on the rider is on order next.... 😛
Can't wait to see what times you can get when it's 80F outside when the battery is good an warmed up. Now you need to find the lightest person possible to ride it and dip into the 9's
Excellent video! Why not charge via the generator at the same time? More load=more heat, charge is also heat. More voltage = more power (amps stay the same, 400A if I’m correct). Lower footpegs =more drag. Engine braking after run is very good, more heat.
I NEVER let off racing...that's the difference between the speedo and the actual speed. Most of the difference, typically around 8-10% is due to rear wheel slip at high speeds. The rest is that THE BIKE reduces power as the run progresses.
Is that all this bike has in it? Will they be unlockable? We need 8 or even 7 seconds! I know some home built EV motorcycles in a busa frame will fly. We need that in mass!
That's what we are doing and it's been more FUN than I ever would have expected! If we can extract the full potential from this machine...I believe it could be a real game- changer.
Really quick in the eighth, not so quick after that. The instant torque and no gears make for very repeatable runs.......but learning to get the best out of a powerful internal combustion engine is a chunk of the fun ?
This is tougher. I can LOOK/TOUCH/FEEL ICE internal components. measure and improve upon them. I haven't figured out how to do the same thing with this bike...it's a challenge for certain. The BIG question is - just exactly how restricted is it? In the ICE turbo world, 175 ft-lbs of torque would mean around 350 RWHP. If this LEV is comparable...damn, it could really rip your face off and the neighbors would have no idea.
@@BrockDavidsonHow does the torque feel? Is it really different from what you're used to? I can't imagine all that torque with the horsepower of a stock literbike. Gotta feel weird (but exciting), huh?
I would have thought that ERGO's performance would have been better than that. These are the mph of a 600cc!?! Sorry, but the performance is really disappointing.
Thank goodness motorcycle exhaust manufacturers are saving children from making the mistake of buying a toaster on two wheels. But seriously, where are all the disposal facilities that can handle EV battery waste? Furthermore, are the majority of fire departments across the land capable of dealing with the extremely hazardous waste or very dangerous fires that can come from an EV in an accident? And, nonetheless, EV battery production is quite detrimental to the environment. Yup, I'm that guy...
Bold comment! Are you really trying to teach an old dog a new trick? I feel safe assuming that uncle Brock has forgotten more about drag racing than you've learned! 😅
SEND MIKE DOWN HERE TO SC! I'LL MAKE SURE THIS VIDEO DON'T HAPPEN AGAIN! LOL

Great video. I ran my Ego 10.3 all stock. Cant wait to see what you can do with different gearing.
Great seeing you back out at the track
Thanks Boosted. I finally slimed down enough to fit in my "fat leathers", lol 😁😅🤣
@@BrockDavidson lol nice! I just gave up, and went larger 😂
@BOOSTEDH2....No "superfats" for me 😉
Thanks for bring me along! Lotsa fun.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lot's of fun watching you guys. keep it up.
That was smoothest take off I ever seen.
This is interesting lol. Love the videos Brock!
Glad you like them!
very entertaining vid ty. Happy Thanksgiving to u and ur family.
I could watch the edgewater content all day long, saves me the gas to bring my gen 3 busa down 🤣 can’t wait to see you guys around next season 🤝
Brock I was wondering have you contacted the Developer to see if they do have a way to get the Energica unlocked to go past 160 MPH?
Working on it.
Just been thinking Brock, with not having a clutch on the electric bike. What would it be like if you have to do an emergency stop?? 🤔
The bike has different modes of deceleration braking. On high, I don't think you would even need to hit the brakes as the bike stops so quickly.
@BrockDavidson thanks for the reply Brock 😃👍
What traction control settings were you running the Ego with?
TC and ABS OFF, engine braking on max.
As per your experiences.. which stock engine is more durable Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda or Kawasaki??
Suzuki used to be the clear winner IMHO. But today they are all about the same...you must try VERY hard to kill one.
what are your thoughts on why 0-60 is neutered. Heat?
Lawyers?
Brock is asking the right questions…

You would like the Crighton CR700 . It amazed Guy Martin.
I think EVERYONE is uncomfortable on a stock wheelbase/height bike at the dragstrip, that's why they're obviously the hardest thing to ride😮
That Ego should wheelie no problem, my Eva RS easily does that even at speed. Is it because of the lowering?
Yes
AWESOME! BST Carbon wheels soon? Drop that time a bit more!
Working on it.
props to him he knows how not to flip his bike backwards in first gear. real world rider.

Just time.

Nice challenge! Grest vid!
Looked like first run of the video you hit 139 mph then let out of it to go across the finish line at 125🤔
Why did you let off?

Ummm , yeah 😉

@@BrockDavidson @BrockDavidson of course. I bet you will enjoy electric as i enjoyed it too. Maybe a hayabusa electric powered 😅

Instant power is pretty nice
Brock gonna put himself out of business playing with that electric
I hope this isn't the future of dragsters electrics there is no point without hearing an engine
My friend races an old, Arctic Cat sled. Not having to shift is like cheating and seriously cool.
My 599cc ninja with stock exhaust, stock tune and 87 octane pump gas would destroy that thing. But that would be bad for sales if anyone saw.
LOL, BET ME! I'm easy to find ;)
@@BrockDavidson come on down to Gainesville or SGMP. I'll even pull the strap off front.
But THIS is how the whole thing started, right?! "i want to make my bike faster" and why the hell not. Nice 1 Brock 😂👍🏻
Exactly!!
wow amazing superb top

I see cooper in the background lol
P Coop was on board for moral support. So was Mike Davis 😉

i know you are old. But screwing off the mirrors and then not laying your belly and chin flat on the tank seems slow :P
Do this and it will be a 10.3.

Ive got an electric car (acceptable as its the wifes) im still not ready for a leccy bike though. My ears need pleasure too 😂
Brought that electric motorcycle sound like a r c car
i didn't want the electric to win.. lol
