- Measuring the PWM rate and potential dithering of the TCL Tab10 NXTPAPER 5G tablet in all three display color modes. This tablet used an LCD.
TCL says the use a "picture quality mode similar to TVs" on this tablet, which is likely what's causing the dithering found in my tests.
Thx again for making this video. If only there was a way to disable the dithering. I love the device beyond that
Thanks for looking at this tablet. I just got one and agree that it's visually comfortable!
Off hand I tried to switch to Android developer mode and switch to sRGB to disable dithering. But it doesn’t work. It automatically switches back
I just received mine and was super excited. But my eyes immediately noticed the dithering. I tried all display modes so it has to go back. Silly from them that they don’t disable dithering in e-ink mode or even easy on the eyes mode. Now it’s pretty much useless for us
so its temporal dithering in the normal display mode and that still causes eye strain?
Could you please try something for us? When you pull the tiles menue (brightness, wifi, mute, ...) downwards from the top, you can add further tiles when tapping on the edit icon (pencil). Amongst all the tiles that appear, do you see any saying "Extended Mode" or "Second Screen"? I ask as the nxtpaper 11 & 14 have that feature but this one doesn't show in the tiles we saw thus far.
Thanks for this video. It gives me hope for their future tablets. I am excited for the TCL Nxpaper 14 Pro to be released in the US with the same screen as this Tab 10! Anyone know when?
Have you tried the honor magic 6 lite?
is this amoled or lcd?

Hey Nick, its Tissot how are you doing!?
Dude! What's up??? Good to hear from you! Hit me up with a message somewhere, I'd love to chat again. I'm normally Gwanatu everywhere.
