For progress to be realised, there has to be administering of change in many things that society depends on like LEADERSHIP(Why? Because different people come with different idealogies or improvements on the already existing ones).
MUSEVENI has refused to let other people(the young) lead this country out off SOLVABLE problems. This country like many others is very blessed with wealth that can CHANGE people's lives for the better if properly exploited.

Looking at this particular district, it had many industries in the 70s and 80s that provided jobs to the entire population in Mbale.
For those who lived i Mbale at that time can well remember ATM(African Textile Mills), Budaka ginners, Mbale soap works(rafiki), Dairy corporation, Ugationers, Sudaplast, Mbale bakery, Bugema ginnery, Bugisu cooperative Union(BCU), Dhoko(rice), Masaba cooperative(farmers). Not forgetting Mbale municipal council and other administrative offices.

Museveni camre and CLEARED all of them in the name of PRIVATISION and that they were going to be run efficiently. Where the money went, nobody knows And what happened? The industries begun dying one-by-one, leaving the people who once were born in mbale, raised there, went to school there and later got jobs in Mbale to start leaving their beloved district to go to kampala in search for jobs, Leaving M-B-A-L-E decomposing.
