We started our third day by leaving Raithal village to reach our next destination, which was higher and deeper among the hills. Most people visit this place for the origination point of the holy river Ganga, known as Gaumukh and it is just 44 Km away from Harshil. As we elevated, the roads got narrower and the greenery increased. Also, entering Harshil Valley will start revealing the traditional colours of this marvellous location. Harshil Valley falls under the control of the Indian army and is broadly known for its beauty and apple orchids. After getting stuck in traffic for hours, we finally managed to reach Lanka Bridge which falls under Bhairav Ghati. From here our Gartang Gali trekking journey begins, however, this time we are not going there. Instead, we are going towards Neylong Valley, the valley where Gartang wooden bridges are constructed. The valley is a cold desert mountain area and has been closed since 1962 because of the Indo-China war. Nothing can match the excitement level of exploring untouched places like these. With the exciting journey, we meet new challenges along the way. Following the same, our vehicle got stuck in the middle and it took a while to get us back on track. But we cannot visit the Neylong Valley, why? Watch the video to know. See you all in the next vlog!
