I'm Italian and I live about 20 kilometers from Paestum... I love it, I have been there a lot of times alone and with my high school (because during the 5th grade, the last one, we had to work somewhere and we chose to be tourist guides in Paestum, so I've been there everyday)
I was there, in 1964 or 65, with my parents... I remember the columns, a nice scent all around and the permanent call of thousands of cicadas! What an incredible place! Different by Pompei and Ercolano but so charming!
WOW!! I can't get enough of watching this magnificent city. I can just imagine how beautiful it was during its glory days. Thanks again for all your lovely videos. You've taken me to so many places that I will never be able to visit. 💜
I could possibly film a new Paestum tour. I do have a more recent Paestum tour on my channel but it was filmed on the day of a race with people everywhere.
@@ProWalks Thanks so much, I love all your videos. You deserve a lot of credit for your hard work. I have been searching for the version that has no music or people running everywhere. Please send me a link to that version. I like all the versions, but that particular one is my favorite. Thanks
Thank you for doing these. Been in many of those places and really enjoy revisiting them. I prefer just he ambient noise. Very well done in any case. Please do more!
I love Italy. Such a beautiful country with so much heritage still upstanding. I visited Paestum many years ago so really nice to refresh my memory. I doubt that you are short of places to tour but might I suggest Hadrian’s villa at Tivoli - spectacular remains! I spent a whole day there and still didn’t see it all.
My list of places to walk is growing pretty fast. Tivoli is on my list though. I want to walk the gardens and Villa. I went there last November. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the great video. I loved the journey. At times, I felt I was floating, the fact almost no one was there made the video timeless. I can't wait to visit this historic site.
It's amazing how much you've improved and perfected the walking video! I watch this one and sometimes I want to say, Slow down! And hold for 5 seconds on that beautiful image! And now you do that with all of your amazing walks. And you don't use music anymore, which is a huge improvement. People want to hear the natural sounds of footsteps, birds, crickets, whatever. That's what places us in those environments. Still, it's nice to see Paestum with almost nobody else around. How you managed that is amazing. And 1080p was the standard at the time, and now we've got 4k which is leaps and bounds better than regular HD. I see the scene from Jason and the Argonauts in front of one of the temples, and I want to be standing there myself!
Another great walk!! I have been checking daily for the last couple of weeks to see if you have posted a new video. Highly recommend ProWalks for the most beautiful, scenic and historic walks (so far in Italy). I loved this one as much as the 2 hour walk around Pompeii and the two Path of the Gods walks, in both directions. This person should have way more subscribers.
Hey Aussiegal, thanks for taking the time to post an encouraging comment. I have several more walks planned. I just finished a 12 mile walk around Paris. That video should be posted soon. More subscribers would be great! Feel free to spread the word. :) Thanks for your support!
I am sure that the Paris walk will be amazing. Will try and get the word out ;) These travel virtual videos with the added bonus of a great walking workout are fast becoming my favorites on youtube!! Thanks.
Aussiegal1972 I have thoroughly enjoyed both this walk and both Path of the Gods videos. I would love to do both in person now. I’m using husband’s iPad so this is Jan not Ron. 😊
Amazing, I remember watching this video a couple of years ago right after I got back from Italy, and after visiting Paestum, I missed it so much. Thanks for sharing, I love your videos! Take care and keep up the great videos!
I have to tell you ... you are the best ... your camera is very firm and it is very relaxing to see. Thank you for this. I've seen ALL your walks AND I LOVE THEM ALL. WITH MUSIC, NATURAL SOUNDS CAPTIONS OR WITHOUT THEM¡¡¡¡
Love Paestum For its well-preserved Greek Temples. The only place that I know of where visitors can explore the temples from within instead of viewing them from a distance. A real hidden gem in Italy.
Thanks. I am planning to go back and redo this walk at some point. I am using a binaural microphone now too which helps block some wind noise.... Which is why i added music to this video. The wind was too loud.
PROWALKS ......... No problem ...... you're putting a lot of work in to this ...... we're enjoying it but you doing all the work ..... thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu again ...... really nice work .......
yeah, the ambient sound made me feel like i was there, and was more interesting... but still a good video.. some classical Italian music or something that would match the scene would be nice though... ;)
Hey, Thanks! I've been there twice and both times is wasn't too busy. I think given its distance from other main sites that it doesn't get too crowded. ....I haven't been there though this time a year. So I was coming from a bit further north and drove through Salerno to get there.
Thanks. Your video really gives a sense of being there. We might take a train from Rome down to Salerno, drop our baggages and go for a day-trip to Paestrum. Will go to Sorrento the next day for the rest of 3 days. Unfortunately, not enough time since our son only has 9 day vacation (while the parents have a month to roam around Italy). Will do Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi Coast, and Pompeii for the rest of visit, I think.
She stilled her mind and sought the emptiness filled with potential, then breathed out the focused calm that didn't exist before. Using both hands she went through practiced gestures. When she finished. She realized she could have just cast it at will. A flicker of light appeared upon the Vault's floor below the Vial. Meiveriia No'reil raised her right forearm horizontally. She made a fist while focusing on the Orb, then slowly opened her hand. The flicker turned into a fire but instead of an explosion it spreaded evenly too encompass the entire floor and because of the natural properties of the offset, her blood immediately began to boil. The pressure rose... untill the cork pop upwards to hit the ceiling... Meiveriia No'reil eyes flashed.. The fire directly below the Vial opened creating a circle or eye as if a hurricane. As the cork came down it graced the Vial and began too spin... Meiveriia smiled while nodding her head in disbelief, and said out loud: "Heads or Tails" The cork hit the ground........ and she immediately felt the call of the island.
This was one of my earlier walks. I didn't have a good microphone then so I added music to cover up the wind. I have re-walked Paestum but haven't posted up the new walk yet. I will add more captions to that one. Thanks for supporting the channel.

Sounds like a pretty nice trip. If you have any questions about any of those places feel free to ask.
I play assassins creed odyssey soundtrack in the background, while watching. the music is ok just thought I would share my personal preference.

Love your tours, but more captions with info and no music, please. Loses its atmosphere with the music.

This would have been so much better with just the ambient sound instead of the guitar music.
