Hmm, something is giving me a psychic vibe what number one will be. Nevertheless, im sure this video will be ribbiting! RIP gitrog monster, youll never be frogotten
Sorry I'm late, Wednesday night is a busy night of pub trivia for me. I like frogs, they're very epic. One of the people I play with *hates* frogs. Bad taste! But at least she supports me in my ques for "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"...I hope. I've never asked her.
“Since being printed [psychic frog] has become one of the most important cards in all 3 formats its legal in and that won’t be changing any time soon” Depending on the ban announcement in the next few weeks, maybe it will be changing pretty soon.
Dreamdew has put in so much work for me in Standard ever since it came out. Same with the rest of the Bloomburrow frogs tbh. I would be shocked if Clifftop Lookout doesn't climb onto this list too :]
Frog is my favorite creature type and I'm very glad to have support for my frog tribal commander deck, but I'm also beating my head over how to keep it unique to me.
I'm so glad I got in on a couple of Psychic Frogs for five bucks a piece early. I don't know how anyone can be surprised that it's this strong. I pair it with other card drawing creatures and support cards like Feast of Sanity, turn those discards into free damage and lifegain, I THANK YOU. The frog is insanely ridiculous.
In magic, frogs are a group of funny little guys with a few standouts, but yugioh players groan at the sight of any frog, because the minute you see one hit the board you know you're about to see something disgusting and degenerate. Frogs have been the engine to so many fucked up combo and control strategies for well over a decade; easily one of thr most degenerate set of cards ever put to print (and I love them)
I know wizard's is down on Rapid Hybridization effects actually destroying creatures nowadays, but it's always amusing when something that is flavorfully in color ends being a mechanical pie break. I'm sure blue decks without good removal from splashes will forever appreciate it the same way Green decks love Beast Within lol
@violetto3219 It was five years ago, but Beast Within was still number 6 for a reason. Even if Abrupt Decay and Assassin's Trophy are cheaper, Beast Within is still a pie color break so it still has that edge of not needing splashes. Wherever that edge is still competitive these days that different though, yeah. The niche of just letting you remove a problem permanent in a deck that doesn't win the traditional way like combo still exists out there.
Good timing on this video considering Psychic Frog is about to get booted from Legacy in the next announcement on the 16th. One last hurrah. Though honestly it should've gotten the axe in August.
Pollywog Symbiote makes all creature spells with mutate cost 1 less no matter how u cast them, not just when u use the mutate ability like u said in the video.
You'd think Polymorphist's Jest would see more play in friendly EDH. Although, that $price is expensive. It's even a pretty good politics card. They don't have to be attacking you to blow someone out, and make a deal at the same time.
I'm not really sure if "turn a creature into a frog" should count. I can see the argument for token-makers, since that creates creatures of that type for you, meaning there's at least some level of discernment as you build your deck (you'd run Krenko's Command over a 2-mana spell that makes 2 1/1 humans if you're making a goblin deck, say). But these transform ones are only generally used on your opponent. In the life-gain lists, you've mentioning only counting cards that gain YOU life (rather than your opponent or an indiscriminate player, meaning Swords To Plowshares wouldn't count), so I think the same idea should count for other types of effects in the future.
It's pretty crazy that Psychic Frog just took over that fast from Frogmite. WotC has gotten so far off in their ability to power balance that it doesn't even seem exciting to get into any competitive format. Sure, a lot of the frogs that got bumped off the list were barely on this list and it's easy to understand why they could be bumped off so easily, but the card that shot to the top has barely existed in the game and took over so quick. There's other cards that are obviously doing that. Let's look at the top 10 Rings in magic... Top 10 birds... Top 10 cats...Top 10 dinos
THEY'RE TURNING THE FREAKIN' FROGS BLUE
No! 😭 Why blue?? Anything but blue
Hmm, something is giving me a psychic vibe what number one will be. Nevertheless, im sure this video will be ribbiting! RIP gitrog monster, youll never be frogotten
Chub toad, chub toad, at the door. Run away quick or you'll run no more. Give him a dollar and send him away, but he'll be back the very next day.
He told me he needed about $3.50
Chub Toad sounds like a clothing brand from the mid 90's
(9:28) “Gnshhagghkkapphribbit."
I'm so glad to see Yargle and Multani on this top 10 list.
Somehow I never made the connection that Psychic Frog was a callback to Psychatog. I feel silly now.
15:41 Up the Beanstalk as a subliminal message.
Beat me to it heheh
Must...play...control...
4:23 You dont need to cast the creature for its mutate cost to get the discount, all cards with mutate get the discount even if its cast normally
Don't worry Nizzahon, I won't leap ahead to see Number 1.
I mean do we even have to? Everyone knows that it has to be.
Don’t jump to any conclusions.

Legit surprised Spore Frog still didnt make it onto this list this time
I’m going to guess psychic frog is already #1.
Edit: easy win.
“Since being printed [psychic frog] has become one of the most important cards in all 3 formats its legal in and that won’t be changing any time soon”
Depending on the ban announcement in the next few weeks, maybe it will be changing pretty soon.
Probably it will only stop getting points in one of the three formats (Legacy)
Oh, it's wednesday my dudes.
Aaaaaaah!

I'm honestly surprised it's not already on the list.

It's always crazy to see a new card gets wins in Vintage

"They're putting them chemicals in the water, that turn the friggin' frogs into FTKs! Do you understand that???"
@@Liliana_the_ghost_cat the chemicals are Level 4 WATERs

green *commander* decks like beast within. a 3/3 is much riskier to give away in 20-life

"Trade secret Mr President, particle beam in wristwatch, frog holster on the leg"
Honestly, Long River Lurker is a super underrated frog and card in general from BLB.
Good timing on this video considering Psychic Frog is about to get booted from Legacy in the next announcement on the 16th. One last hurrah. Though honestly it should've gotten the axe in August.
I always looked at atogs as frogs
Chub Toad will always be the #1 Frog in my heart. ❤❄
I would love to see a top 10 cards with the most points ever (list would probably be boring but might have a few surprises)
I read that title at top ten frogs never printed and I was a bit confused before I reread it.
Pollywog Symbiote makes all creature spells with mutate cost 1 less no matter how u cast them, not just when u use the mutate ability like u said in the video.
Chub toad, chub toad, at the door. Run away quick or you’ll run no more.
Curious, what source do you use to find these tournament results?
Thanks to you I found that I may have some of these $3 blue uncommons )))
It occurs to me that Yargle And Multani is the tenth Vanilla creature with points.
No love for Helga?
Nobody watched the Frog and it bury us all. Long live Ophidian.
Chub toad looks awesome ❤

I was just thinking that too.
Number 1 is totes gonna be Psychic Frog, innit?
They are putting chemicals in the water that are turning the frogs into Psychatog!!!
Psychic frog should have had an once per turn on its second ability
Why Glarb got so much aura though? Look at him so nonchalant on his pond throne.
Need more draft videos nizza
Oh hell yeah, frog time
Frog-toberfest
No Grolnok? And Gitrog only at #10? Whoa.
Not even 10, he fell off. Was 10 last time.
THE HYPNOTOAD!!!
@15:23 Hahahah!
easy one psychic frog
FROG GANG 🗣️🗣️🗣️

WOO FROGS FK YEAH!! (I have a Grolnok deck)

Spore frog #1
who's the best frog in mtg? the one reading this comment
🥺🙏🏻
I’m not a frog dude
@DiscardatRandom not yet.
@@danielhavens8819 is that a threat?
Have any top 10 lists had COMPLETE turnovers since 2021? Like the entire old list wouldn't make the new list?
TUP TAN FORGS
Hell yeah
if you're feeling froggy
I don't think 18/6 Yargle and Multani is the creature with the highest power in a game that has a 20/20... 🤔
The 20/20 is a token. Could mean biggest you can cast
The 20/20 is a token
Yargtani is the biggest creature that can be pitched to Cragganwick Cremator
Bud...bud...weis...

Ribbit.
Hi

This was a rather ribbiting list
