If TheBruSho weren't already my favorite brewtube channel (by a mile), this would clinch it! LOVE Zelda and all your inspiration for fun and creative brewing projects.
I love your videos on all types of fermentations particularly beer and the saki video. I ‘ve learned a lot and started brewing beer and now mead. I like the video but a couple of things to keep the techniques correct. Did Adam give you any flack about that headspace in secondary?
That you and BC both did TOTK meads with totally different results is a great display of how brewers can take the same inspiration with totally different end drinks! Great fun and great (I think unintentional) collab :)
That's a really cool idea with the glitter. My daughter is getting into DnD now and I think it'd be a cool idea to give her some "healing potions" for Christmas (she's 23, stop panicking 😄). I may try this. Thanks for the idea!
Dang Trent, this one was just so amazing and creative, especially the edible glitter! One beer I would love someone to create, is something equivalent to the “Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster”. Most people make a cocktail version of that but it would be interesting to see what a beer version would be.
Warhammer nerd here, and I've made a mead based off of a drink in one of the books. It's fun to create something based off of vague ingredient descriptions and share with other fans.
Me and my wife are vegan and not a fanatic. We eat honey and I brew mead with it. If it weren’t for bees there wouldn’t be any fruits and vegetables for the fanatics to eat! To each his own. Great channel. Did you get to taste the younger this year? It was fantastic especially after the 5 hour wait and I live in Santa Rosa.
Definitely a different take from my recipe! Edible glitter is an interesting choice and, as you say, I can imagine that really makes the bathroom experience magical!
Where are you getting your supply of un honey? Im having a hard time finding it online but I 100% want to make this. Also, rock on for making this vegan!!! 🌱
So this was a stash I got from sprouts a while back but it’s been harder to find these days. Not sure if the company is doing well. But there are some other honey alternatives out there that could work in place of it
Hi, I just discovered your channel, it seems very interesting. Do you think it’s possible to make any fermentation using dried Goji berries? Or from Spirulina/Alfalfa/Maqui Berry powders usually sold as “healthy” superfood?
I see a few of the brew tubers doin' this, so I thought I'd give it a try. HOWEVER, I want to use some grain to make a braggot or even just a beer. In the game they have both wheat and rice, so I figured some white wheat malt and rice hulls. So here's 2 issues I'm having. What Hylian plant would be close to hops??? I can't think of any, so what do you thing would be a good bittering herb? I also want to stay true to the game and only add 5 ingredients and no I'm not counting yeast. If it is a loophole Reinheitsgebot I insist on getting the same! So what do you think about some berries or some apple to the recipe? Thanks for the vid.
You made me curios what unhoney is. Looks like its basically flavored can sugar syrup. Thats probably why the honey flavor fell off and you just got raspberries. I want to try thi recipe. looks tasty. Ill do honey though. Thanks for the video.
So Man Made Mead and me did a collab to see if UnHoney would work for a mead and we both came to that similar conclusion that it lacks the nuance of honey. I think the herbs helped a bit but could have used more. An interesting product and not a perfect honey sub but close enough for now
@@TheBruSho Hey if it works for you and creates a drink you enjoy. Then to hell what everyone else thinks. Rarely are there any "substitution" products that are as good as the original, but if a person prefers it over the original then more power to them. Like you said " you do you and Ill do me" Or something to that effect.
I’m a huge Lord of the Rings nerd and have several beers named after characters and events from it! Would love to hear your opinion on a LOTR speciality drink 🍻⚔️ cheers!
Not sure if the reason you choose to use vegan honey for this Zelda mead is because you are vegan or whatever the reason is. I am not going to get into the semantics or debate on honey is not an animal product and blah blah blah blah etc or stealing food from an insect or it's not a mead if you don't use honey made by Bee's. This is your brew your channel and you are the one that has to drink it. I am in the process of making my first home brew and hopefully it will have the tasting notes of the poppycock snack. Made a stock from the five corn cobs with a lemon and Myrtle sweet leaves, roasted the corn kernels, popped a cup of popcorn in peanut oil. Used 3 lbs of wildflower honey and the last bit of almond honey I had which was 5.33/oz. I chose magnum hops and an ale yeast with an alcohol tolerance of 9-11%. Not sure if I did the Hydrometer reading right but it read 1.130 or if it was stupid or not adding mocha oak chips during primary fermentation. So far it is bubbling away and color went from a brownish color to a ochre color. I plan on making a an arerglyn version of City Steading lapsang Touching tea mead. At some point I would like to make braggot with the banana honey I made from the recipe from One day one recipe channel. Were I use coconut water and Irish whiskey instead of using water.
What a fun video! The glitter really makes it look like a video game item. Totally unrelated... But WTF is yeast nutrient? I tried to find out and failed. Nitrogen, amino acids, minerals... Is this freeze dried chicken poop?
This is Spectacular
Homebrewing, Dark Tower, Mario, Zelda - your channel speaks to me.
Haha yes!! ⚔️
If TheBruSho weren't already my favorite brewtube channel (by a mile), this would clinch it! LOVE Zelda and all your inspiration for fun and creative brewing projects.
Thanks so much! I had a ton of fun making this one as you might be able to tell
Wow, looks lovely in final product especially with glitter effect!
I'm gonna do the same but for ciders and other gaming franchise!
The sound effects, quality, personality and brews are just top notch, well done mate!
This looks amazing!! I have to try making this now!!
I’d love to see your take on it!
Love the creativity with these latest videos Trent.

What a neat brew! And just the right amount of Zelda references! haha
Extremely creative, great video
This was so awesome. My goodness do i love zelda. Haven't played newer games but I have link to the past on repeat.
Awesome I tried to throw a ton of references from other games!
Great job! I really need to get a switch first to even play Breath 1!
This is so awesome! Love the creativity!
What popular drinks from pop culture would I want to see? NUKA COLA.
Save me a glass! please do more video game drinks! 😛

Yeah it was fun to watch how he did it. Sounds like we need to finally Collab for real!
I just wish everyone on earth could be as chill out as you are. God should make more men like you!
That is incredibly sweet thank you
Fantastic!!! Cheers Trent 🍻

Not the water temple flash backs 😭😂

Oh very cool I’m going to look into this, thanks Tony!!
This was great. I loved all the references and sound bytes. So what is the vegan honey made out of?
There was a few but this one I used was made from cane sugar I believe
Really Enjoyed Your Video , Thanks ! 🐯🤠
No hate for the vegan honey here! Always enjoy the videos, and also a huge Zelda fan. I haven’t acquired the new game yet but that will change soon!
Thanks, appreciate that! And I’m excited to jump in and start playing
We need MOOOOORE LIKE THIS!!!😍😍😍
Pausing the video to address RUclips comment trolls while dressed as Link. Perfection!
Would potassium sorbate be enouth? Why you need both?
This was awesome! Never wanted to brew a mead more. Also, you might have the best editing of any homebrew channel. Fantastic Zelda homage. 🗡️ 🏹 🍯
“No other game has captured my heart than Zelda”? What?
great vid. always educational while hilarious
This is a awesome video!!! Well done

I have a five gallon fermenter. What would the mix ratio look like ?
What fitting did you use to connect ball lock to the t fitting on your spudding valve?
An ale from the shire in lotr would be cool
You finally did a mead! One step closer to a braggot... :)
Haha yes I’d love to try that!
@@TheBruSho Awesome! I really think a mix of Honey Malt with the Vegan Honey would turn out really good!

Let’s see a Chrono Trigger Millennium Fair Ale!
There’s an idea!
Right now I am fermenting a rye ale, which is silky smooth. So it's almost a magic potion...
Video timed with game launch day 🚀 is a pro move.
Another wonderful video that deserves a ton more views. 🍭 xx
I'm definitely going to use that glitter in a brew. Do you happen to have a link to purchase it online?
Awesome! It’s a fun addition to play with:

so is vegan honey corn syrup?
*Listen!
Awesome video
Make a Batman and a joker beer. 🧐
Mad respect for the brews but the N64 cartridges earned a sub. Bless you.

Could you make a mead based on satisfactory by coffee stain studios
I would make idea 1
Love the Nintendo vids! Too bad I don't play video games no more. Maybe once in a while a little bit of Fallout 4. Ok, I'm done. Cheers!

Haters gonna hate! Nintendo 4Life!
I'm a non vegan honey user but I will never begrudge someone their choices. It's still a mead in my book.
3:20 You're not making real mead, bro. You took the time to let me comment, so I did! Lol, just buggin
