I think questioning when to modulate is something we should keep in mind too. Making sure the music demand for it / giving it a good reason to come out. Jacob Collier masterclass have an explanation on this.
    Anyway, it's just music! :p

A very good morning to you, what an interesting and simple way to explain with gentle examples, very grateful to have come across you. All tne best. Oh... as I am here may I just take the opportunity and ask you about this very weard 12/8 - 6/8 measure, for the life of me I simply do not understand how it works. I have a feeling that you may say is a kind a double of 6/8. I am learning to play by ear as I can unfortunately say I have slight learning disability and I find it difficult to comprihend musical notes and the maths that comes with it but fortunately God has given me a ghift to sort of go round it and still play gently what I wish to play, just for fun, found it fascinating. Thanks very kindly, bless you.

I purchased the software, yes. It seems to work well! It’s just in free play mode.

Ive been trying to figure out how to modulate between non perfect 5th intervals and i wanted to see if you have any information, for instance moving from C major to D major or moving from C major to Bb major

How to change From D major to G Major??

  • @mustmakemusicnow

Yo C, Ex 1: For your tritone of D7, you play C & F#. Good. Moving to a G Maj resolution, you moved the F# up to G. Good. But you 'resolved' the C UP a Whole Step to D. WRONG. Yes, that D fits in the G Maj chord. But when your tritone is C + F#, Bach & the rest of us are Begging for that to resolve (both by HALF STEPS) OUTWARD to B + G.
I wasn't watching your keys. I'm a Drummer. My Ears told me it was a Bad Resolution. Please fix it before Mozart puts a curse on you.
