My mom stood home with 6 of us and homeschooled most of us, my dad busted his butt providing. At around kid 4 my mom started her own home daycare and was making some decent income to supplement my dad. She was a Sunday school teacher and became a chaplain. After my two youngest sisters were teenagers my father partially retired and supported my mom in pursuing her masters, she is now a very involved grandma and a special education teacher. I think my parents, without knowing did things in a great order! They supported eachother at different times and seasons. Most importantly my mother was there to instill Christ in her children, moral values and social and Communiy skills. Her going back to school in her later years also still amazing me.
It can be done, men and women just have to work together and have a common vision around God, home and family.

Married at 21, celebrated our 10 year anniversary this year. Had our first kid at 28 and i started staying at home, my husband and i made it work together ❤ never ever would i have imagined i stay at home with a kid. I always thought i was going to do career, more school etc. At 30, my priorities just totally flipped. This feels right, and we will keep on working as a team for as long as we are together.
Its true. The older you get, the higher the chances of miscarriage, fertility problems etc. Also, if you set a career before having children you will find yourself having to "sit out". Wouldnt it be smarter to have kids, go to school then have a career? Why were we taught the other way around?

For the past 30+ years, schools and companies have been pushing the full-time employment model that only sees an employee as valuable if they can hold on to them physically for a minimum 8 hours a day. I have a family and I would be willing to work, but not a full 8 hours. My family is my focus. Work is work. I am disgusted and angry that businesses think I should prioritize my job over my family.

The harsh truth is the business only cares about the bottom line and providing jobs isn’t the top priority. This is why I respect women who can make it work as a SAHM, actually because they know their priorities and boundaries and are honest with themselves realizing they aren’t able to give employers what they are looking for instead of whining at employers for not giving them more flexibility and paid time off.
At the same time, employers are benefiting from a bigger workforce resulting in cheaper labor. If companies want their employees to work as though they have a stay at home spouse or no children they should pay them more. However, the only way companies will be incentivized to do this is if the workforce shrinks due to more people opting out.

I’m 28 and glad I didn’t get married and have kids in my early 20s. I was not ready for that life stage. I grew up in deep poverty and on welfare. Those kids would’ve grew up very hungry and on welfare as I couldn’t even take care of myself. I had to prioritize my career to be able to take care of them. I grew up in a single parent household in a high cost of living area and experienced a ton of financial trauma. I’m working on breaking generational poverty.
But also men weren’t interested in me throughout my 20s. I only attracted guys who wanted hookups or who were very lustful in their approach even though I dressed modestly and are a Christian. So I’m waiting for an actual man who would be good to date. I’m not going to just rush into a relationship with a guy who wouldn’t be a good husband or father just to get married and have kids before 30.

    7) The prime men don't leave college single. They are snapped up by a smart 18 or 22 year old. A man (or woman) who is single at 30, 35, 40 probably has sub-ideal sexual market value. The surgeon who repaired my C section was handsome and funny, also had 7 kids at age 39, so do that math on when he got married.
    8) Avoid having elderly parents with health problems and young children/babies at the same time
    9) Be an empty-nester in your 40s, actually have money to travel or whatever you want. Do sleepless nights with babies in your 20s when you have the health and energy
    10) The act of being coupled matures an individual in a desirable way. A man who was in a relationship with the same woman at age 20 will be a better husband than if he married the same woman at age 40 (and vice versa for women)
    11) Invest the "fun" energy of dating and sex into your husband and not random men you would be embarrassed to cross paths with again, not to mention avoid making a "reputation" for yourself.

In my understanding of what is happening in my culture in terms of women focusing more on education and career is that women are finding man unreliable when it comes to commitment in building family - financial + effort wise. It's quite common to hear men not willing to contribute financially, undermining women who needs to "rely" on them and "ask" for money. It is also not uncommon to hear that women who has not strong enough income herself stay in the marriage that is bad because they can't possibly financially survive with her children if separated from her husband, and not uncommon to hear men do not pay their share of the cost of child raising after divorce, and the law cant do anything to that hence all burden and responsibilities of the children usually falls on the mother, willingly, but very hard in this real world. Hence, many women feels more secure to at least make sure they themselves have good career, good education and good income first before getting marry and have children. At least when that happens, say for example domestic abuse/affairs, they are able to leave the marriage without worrying about the risk of starving her children. Not sure about the social welfare in America but it's not great from where I am from.

I am truly amazed by the insights you have into the male psychy. (Are you from Germany/of German descent?)
Usually women have no idea what men want in women, but only look at what they want in men and then give the same answer, basically acting as if men and women are identical.
Simply because in their first 20+ years of life, the men came running to them, like the moth to the flame. So they never once had to think of what a man wants. All they need was already given.
And the women who do know how to attract men on purpose, usually won't ever give that info to other women, who would then become their rivals.
Most men, who are at least a bit skilled at attracting women or have gotten hit on by women a few times, have experienced the almost child-like way women nowadays try to attract a man they want. It's usually off-putting, because they act like men, instead of behaving female. More or less they tell the man "I want you" and just like a woman who has options, the man also instantly loses intrest, because she comes across as "needy" or worse.
A man wants to "have to conquer her". A woman needs to be passively alluring. She must draw the man in, without simply telling him "I want you" or worse - inviting him to the bed right away (which results in her being a one-night-stand or friends-with-benefits at best). Even if a relationship ensues, the man never learned to "desire" her. And he never will, as it basically sets the bar.

These things are all true from a woman's perspective, but it doesn't go far enough to cover the entire problem. The legal system is a massive disincentive for men to commit to women. The extreme feminist institutionalization of the hatred of men and encouragement over value themselves make many women poor partners. The inability of many women to tell the difference for men between women who they would have sex with and women they would commit to leads women to insist on men of higher status than they can realistically acquire.

I don't regret not marrying in my 20s, not one bit. As a matter of fact, I have no regrets about the choices I've made. While I agree that love is very important and should be done with intention, I don't believe that young women should be pressured to marry somebody, anybody so they can have children. Not everyone is supposed to go this route and that is fine. My mother instilled getting a career in my head so that I would not have to be at the mercy of anyone. There is something important about women having options in life. Our mothers were subjected to being abused and having to rely heavily on a man just to do something minute as making a purchase and getting a credit card. I think we need to offer them some grace. I firmly believe that Divine timing factors into selecting a mate as well. Just my opinion.

You can get married and avoid Divorce grape with a very solid pre nep done either before or shortly after the engagement. I recommend before actually asking her to marry and at least 6 months prior to getting married. It protects both sides. Make sure you both have your own attorneys and agree. Some back and forth negotiations are good as well. Even with this in place sometimes it gets thrown out as invalid somehow that I do not understand. But, it does give a fighting chance to not be taken advantage of. Marriage can be a great thing for sure. Protect yourself. Protect your bride. Be ready to appeal and appeal and appeal and appeal. Even taking the judge to trial if a valid agreement is thrown out. Freeze some swimmers just in case you want kids later and get snipped so no accidents. Also have an agreement on kids in writing long before kids come up in conversation. This is about the only method of birth control that works 99.9% for men. No swimmers, no problems. no surprises. Victoria secrete - no can defend..... If she wants to get pregnant she will get pregnant. I have actually known several ladies that got pregnant and told so and so your the daddy - guess what - these guys were snipped! so this still in this day and age goes on - paternity fraud. Pretty sad state of things for sure. DNA testing SHOULD BE MANDATORY before you can sign as the father.......

@@Kōgan_Dekai she has stated on several occasions in multiple videos, also her primary client is women
She has also stated that dad's starting over is channel more geared to the men's side of the issue. Ok would suggest watching both but dad's starting over is a great place to ensure you are bringing the right things to the table.
Women don't talk or communicate like men. You need to translate. To understand they say things in as many words as possible.

These podcasts are ridiculous. EVERYONE has to work, there are no money trees being planted. The idea that women can just opt out of the job market is fantasy. It's isn't 1946 anymore.

I guess I and all the other stay-at-home moms I know aren’t real then. It’s not ridiculous. Work and the job market are not the same thing.
We do work. We just don’t get a pay check for it. I provide childcare so we don’t pay for daycare. I don’t know if you have seen the cost of having multiple young children/ babies in daycare, but its very expensive.
I provide home cooked meals cheaply so we don’t pay for restaurants. I care for and maintain our home so we don’t have to hire that out and I do the yard work. I mend and maintain our clothing, so we buy less.
My husband is able to earn more in his specialized field because I take care of everything else. It would actually cost our family more money for me to have a job once all the taxes are taken out, plus our family’s physical and mental health is better off for it. A penny saved really is a penny earned, you just have to reframe your thinking.

I haven’t worked for the past 10 years and my husband has been able to support our family of 7, I know many families in the same situation.

Uhm, grew up next to a family of 6 with a stay at home Mom and had a Grandmother who bore 10, so yes, I do know they exist. My own mother paid her sisters to watch us while she worked. As a result, my parents never had to go on welfare and left a legacy for their children, something that none of my Aunts were able to do. I also do my own yardwork, make my own meals and sometimes work on my own car but taxes and home repair are through the roof. Keep in mind you may have a husband who works in a specialized field, but most women don't. That second paycheck may be all that's keeping them afloat.@@dianaaugustine5438

I am a stay at home mom. Don't pay a single bill. My husband takes care of all and even helps with my school tuition. It's by the grace of God that he handles it. I am planning on remote work to help him out once I graduate. Either way our priority are the children.

Fantasy? I have been out of the workforce for 6 years, basically as long as we have been married. We have three children four and under, and my husband is the only income earner.
