Ed, Thanks for making this video. I have only one Angraecum in my collection. I believe it is the sesquipedale. I appreciate the information that you share with us. It helps me with my orchid growing.
The one I got (she’s small only 6 leaves), but her roots were completely rotten in the pot. The medium it was in it really didn’t like. I put her in a hanging basket with spag moss but I may see if I can find another that doesn’t have rotten roots and I’ll do what you said and not disturb them. I live in south Florida but surprisingly this is the second one I’ve ever found. Thanks for the great video!
It's over 5 years since I published this article so thank you for your comment and for taking aa look.. You do right in putting your plants in a hanging basket.but I would have used just plain large bark or large coco-chips which have been cleaned and the tds lowered to an acceptable level.........I have a video on cleaning video chips about a year ago. Thank you Ingrid....Florida is an ideal place to grow Angraecums.......best of luck with your plant and take care, Ed.
Glad you enjoyed it Denise. If you get as much pleasure from watching my videos as I get from making them..... then it makes me very happy. Thankyou. Ed
@@EdsOrchids what do you presently use, if you still have the phalaenopsis bellini/violacea, for fertilizer/plant food and how often as well as the quantities! Thanking you in advance. ❤️
Good evening Nita and thank you for your comment. I feed just once per week with RainMix and I also give them a little bit extra nitrogen which helps Phalaenopsis to acquire bigger and better blooms.........at a ratio of between 200/250 ppm. Thanks again and have a good and enjoyable Sunday Ed.
Excellent Tantija.... Lady Lisa is a lovely angraecum cross which produces very scented beautiful blooms. Once you have got it growing well never disturb the roots by re-potting.. When the re-potting time arrives leave the plant in its pot and just put it into a larger one. My sesquipedale must have at least three pots in the medium. Take care. Ed.
Really nice specimen sized plants! Even the dideri looks right at home on that mount. That's the only one we share in our collections. Mine appears to be waking up.
Great video! My ses I had to repot even though it has a bud! Put into a large wood basket in lava rock. She's got a drip tray about an inch underneath. Been a week and so far she's good! How can I be so lucky!
My Ang Crestwood always spikes in September and flowers in Jan/Feb. I woulld think that your didierii should have flowered by now.... but you never know with our pets!! .. I don't think mine is in spike it likes to grow instead. Ed

Hi Resquetzal . It will grow quite quickly once it waes up.... but I keep mine growing all year round.
Ed.
Eds Orchids
Must be growing year round due to the higher humidity in your greenhouse.
Including the heat and light I give them year round.
Ed
Lovely happy plants.I would love to try and grow one but unfortunately I don't have the space but the are beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Try the Aerangis Patricia they are only small plants easy to grow in the shade and have some beautiful flowers.
Ed
I really enjoyed watching this video. I hope you have a wonderful week!
Thankyou Banana... you have a great week also.
Ed.

Good evening Kathy and thanyo for the very nice compliment.
Ed
🤩I enjoyed your sharing 👍
Thankyou for the nice comment flowers world
Ed.
Well, you make it look easy to grow Angraecum. I would love a big one, but I bought a mini didieri.
And you'll get a lot of pleasure from the didieri.
Ed
Very nice. Get a little green craft paint and touch up that burn spot. 👍
Don't think that would be acceptable on the showbench pal!!!!!!
Ed
Really large plants 😄! What temperature do they prefer? Beautiful all of them!
Ed are warm growing plants but will adapt to your conditions ... they need a temperature difference between day and night of around 8c. Take care,
Ed

If you don't try things Denise you never know what you've been missing. Hope things continue to do well for you.

+Eds Orchids hi
Hello Marilyn.and a big Hi to you!!
Ed
Amazing plants Ed, very informative and interesting video. I just wondered if you supplement the light in winter in your greenhouse?
Hi fiona. Yes I supplement the light in winter mainly for the multifloral paphs which require 14hours of light per day.
Ed.
Thank you for information,Ed
Hope you can find it useful Irina.
Ed
Eds Orchids Of course 😊
Wow. Thank you. Interesting.
My pleasure sharka.

spike too
My Ang Crestwood always spikes in September and flowers in Jan/Feb. I woulld think that your didierii should have flowered by now.... but you never know with our pets!! .. I don't think mine is in spike it likes to grow instead.
Ed
Eds Orchids I thought it is a spike... on left side of your plant... That’s how mine looks... then pbbly just a new root...
Dead old spike on mine Lana....... hope that doesn't apply to your plant!!!
Ed
