I've traditionally been a Ford truck guy from the 70's era...but I can't deny the lines and the look of this truck. I love the standard cab long box 3/4tons...the restoration on this is top shelf. I doubt there's a better one. Beautiful color combo and just a great looking truck.

1987 was the last year for those generation Chevrolet & GMC fullsize pickups but just on the half ton & three quarter ton regular cabs. The crew cabs & one ton regular cabs on the other hand were still in production up through 1989 on the one ton regular cabs & up through 1991 on the crew cabs. Not to forget the Suburbans, K5 Blazers, & Jimmys were also still in production up through 1991 too.
I had one just like that i bought brand new in 87 but it was a 1/2 ton loaded out wit posi trac in the rear, 350 fuel injected 700R Trans, But I notice on that truck it Does not have the Brushed Stainless Plastic on the Dash and Doesn't have the Brushed Aluminum Center TailGate Middle Cover as the Silerado's came with. But other wise the Truck looks Very nice. Would love to have my old Girl back. Beautiful Trucks.
When I was in HighSchool “over 20 years ago” a good buddy of mine had an 87 1/2 ton long bed 4x4 with 33” BF Goodrich AT’s that I used to Drag around with my old 76 HighBoy All the time. My old Ford was just a farm truck but his 87 Chevrolet actually looked damn good, it was a dark blue color and didn’t have a spot of rust anywhere on the truck. It was pretty tough but never could handle the old HighBoy Ford.... come to think of it, none of the Chevrolets he ever bought back then could handle the old Ford🤣😆
The Chevy square body was the most beautiful body ever on a GM. Man I’ll bet this thing will fetch 10K, 😳😂 insert sarcasm. I would venture to guess well over 50K
That whole thing was a farce and those NBC reporters involved in the fake story were fired. They staged it with Estes rocket engines to make the tanks explode. It's on Wikipedia
