      I actually like the old churches turning into a forest. Better than littered with garbage and graffiti. At some parts of the outside walls, you can see there was ivy removed.
      Except for the crypt, this is really a place where I want to rest in peace, only sheep visiting you.

      I'd say the least they could do is keep the greenery under control and the sheep out of the churchyard.

    • @brians1793
      @brians1793 4 месяца назад +10

      @@jnharton TBH the sheep are probably helping tame some of the grass and whatnot around the graves outside so maybe it's not a bad thing in this case, but it'd be better if they were kept out along with vandals and someone managed overgrowth in general. I wonder if the underground crypt might be more wealthy people that thought they'd be safer that way, and grave robbers knew that and were going after anything they might have been buried with as it looks like most of the graves outside haven't been disturbed.

    I fell asleep this afternoon while you posted this video. You were in the dream and we had traveled to a very old convent that had closed. Inside the old church there were a few graves amd chairs were standing at the foot of each grave, and as you stood near one both the gravestone and the chair turned green with love moss. You fainted. The moss turned back to the original faded grey after about 30 seconds. We had permissible to take anything we wanted from the buildings or yard. I took a tarnished old bedstead made of copper, or coated with copper. We made our way through the grounds along with 2 other women who were with us. Some people were taking ancient gravestones and we made them put the gravestones back, then told a priest who sent someone out to monitor what was going on. Going into a dining room, my foot hit something at the edge of the floor. I pulled it out and it was an old holy water font. We told the priest about it and about the grave turning green with moss. He said that it was the grave of a woman who was deeply revered in the church, of a high ranking. I knew it was you in a past life and that is why you had fainted, because your spirit had recognized this. We made our way back to the car and I told you that I wanted you to have the old, ornate bedframe. You hugged me and said you had wanted it, too but I had already claimed it. There was more to the dream, but I'll end it here except tell you when I woke up, for a few seconds I saw a sprinkling of green at the top of my phone.

    Pretty cool church and graveyard yes it’s a-shame how grave robbers can go and desecrate a family vault. That was a really clear “thanks” after you wished the family to rest in peace.
    That definitely looked like a lightning strike on that tree. When a powerful lightning bolt hits a tree the sap instantly boils and explodes out the tree’s weakest points and obviously started a fire. Thanks for dodging the sheep land mines to bring us the video. It was well worth it for us. God bless to you.

    To the people who make these videos, not sure if you will read my comment, but you have no idea how it makes me feel so calm at night time watching them. I am from Ontario, Canada and Ireland England and Scotland are of the places our ancestors decided to try Canada as a pioneer, but it’s nice seeing these super old stones of course we don’t have any of that old because we are a country that comes to that. But it loves so much seeing the old churches and buildings that were there in my ancestors decided to leave one of those three countries, keep up the wonderful and believe me you are appreciated❤

    Great video guys! Your up to you're you know what in sheep exhaust! Thanks Sue for being so brave and taking us into the crypt's that we are selves would be to afraid to ever go in. Question, have either of you ever been walking along and fallen in a grave? I mean it is one thing to enter a crypt on purpose. But to suddenly fall in to one, my heart would just stop. I guess that would not be so bad. As I would save my family a lot of $$$ being already in a grave and all.

    A great and fantastic video you and GV bring us YT fans to amazing graveyards throughout Ireland and the best part you and GV have no fear diving into an old crypt .. As for the old crypt i would say yes it was vandalized years ago the bodies are still there but looks more like personal belongings were taken as for the coffins being very large if you look at the 9.25 mark the lead coffin was a 2 person coffin and the smaller coffins were child sized coffins also the crypt being open like that i am sure it fills up with water every time it rains .. For the Tree being struck by lighting not sure if Ireland has severe thunderstorms like the US has i would say yes it was struck by lightning ... As for the Sheep one of the best animals to keep a place nice and trimmed ... Again great video Sue you and GV have a great week

    The ancient churches of Ireland are so beautiful. It’s so sad that they are often left to ruin along with the graveyards. May those resting there RIP!

    So much beauty in Ireland. I would love to tour that cemetery outside of Paris, the one that is visited more than any other cemetery in the world. You guys did a video too there I think I have seen. Hopefully when we get our last bit of money my health will still be good enough to see it too.

    Love how you catch EVP and just don't dismiss those who choose to stay in the area. If that was near me I don't know if I could stand to let it be overgrown, and in disorder. It is historical and significant. Keep up the good work!

      @@SerenitySueGraveyards Here in the Midwest US it happens all the time. Our flagpole got struck and the mulch at the bottom went flying up onto our roof and everywhere. Our neighbors caught it on camera. Very powerful!

    I've visited your beautiful country several times, I'm from Southern California. I did learn however when visiting such sites that the major destruction of so many beautiful little ancient churches was Margaret Thatchers doing, as she ordered her soldiers to pillage and smash out the roofs.
    So sad.
