The way it works is: Server with 10 layers - 10000 population Server with 0 layers - 10000 population (Numbers made up examples) Layering just stops leveling zones being too full and doesn't effect population. It was implemented because everyone would be in the same zones. Blizzard has explained it many times like this.
Asmongols is so right, new genaration will be like "i can't come out and play with ya all i have a raid to do" . That's classic WOW, talking all of your time.
The numbers will go down with the time, you can deny it but Classic is a 1-2 year story. Some of my guildies are already quitting the game and it's only phase 2.
I wanted to see if it would be any different than the free servers i had played. It was the same so i quit because I've already played the game and i see no point in doing it again. What I want is Blizzard to look at the good parts of Classic and implement them in Retail. I believe Shadowlands will go in the right direction, but it's not enough.
I don't want burning crusade. Bruning crusade was the first step blizzard took to making wow terrible. Flying mounts? Quality of life upgrades up the ass? The only people who want BC are old fuckers who care more about nostalgia then playing a good game. I want the classic experience but improved. I want Classic+ to show us what could of happened if blizzard didn't release an expansion every 2 years that made all older content completely pointless.

Layering was phasing, same amount of ppl, just not visible

Game was fun before phase 2 I happened to roll horde on heartseeker without researching and regret it I can't even sit in capital cities without dying
