I few years ago the news put on the sports high lights and it was the Maple Leaf's vs whom ever (I don't follow sports myself) but it was the play offs the guy was going towards the leaf net not even that fast and he shot the puck the leaf goalie moved to the right and bent his left leg just enough for the puck to pass into the net. I mean A blind person could have stopped it so yes sports are fixed.

This issue of sports teams with Indian names is not new. I remember back in the 1970s sometimes the issue would come up. I can say that the several native americans I knew when I was in the service said they never had a problem with such names or team logos. Between 2005 and 2010 I worked with a lady who was bona fide member of the Cherokee tribe - yes a REAL Native American - not a fake one like Elizabeth Warren - who not only told me that she had no problem with teams with indian namesfpr sports teams, she also said "REDSKIN" was NOT a racial slur. The term redskins came about because the "Indians" on the East Coast rubbed red ochre on their skins. Those "Indians" BTW were White men descended from the Vikings.

- *Braves* = "a North American Indian warrior." or "endure or face (unpleasant conditions or behavior) without showing fear."..... therefore NOT racist.
- *Indians* = "a member of any of the indigenous peoples of North, Central, and South America, especially those of North America."...... therefore NOT racist.

Although "redskins" has become universally offensive today, I don't think that should be taken as an invitation to change every name in the English language. Eskimo and Blackhawk were not offensive, and still aren't.
