[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW] La parola Bunkai si presta a diverse traduzioni (smontaggio, analisi, applicazione, ecc…) e ad ancora più numerose e diverse interpretazioni. Ciò che viene mostrato nella prima parte del video, quello che accompagna la spiegazione dei punti peculiari del Kata, ha lo scopo di spiegare la tecnica del Kata al fine di migliorarne la comprensione e, quindi, la relativa esecuzione. Si può quindi dire che è un Bunkai “semplice”, per principianti (anche se chi volesse provare a replicare le dimostrazioni del Maestro, magari filmandosi, scoprirebbe che poi così semplice non è…), ma è anche molto utile per gli esperti, per gli insegnanti. Infatti, ci si sofferma su quei dettagli tecnici che sempre meno vengono studiati, compresi e approfonditi con un conseguente impoverimento tecnico e confusione sempre più evidente che regna tra gli insegnanti (e di conseguenza fra i principianti). Nella seconda parte viene dimostrato un Bunkai più complesso con attacchi da tre avversari dove le strategie applicate non mostrano solo un uso più “pratico” della tecnica - senza comunque discostarsi troppo dal Kata, dato che è l’argomento trattato - ma anche la tattica di combattimento contro più avversari (dove, quando si combatte contro un avversario, va tenuto sempre presente che gli altri avversari potrebbero attaccare se venisse loro concessa un’apertura). Vi è poi un altro livello di Bunkai che dovrebbe essere chiaro dalle parole del Maestro prima dell’applicazione con più avversari, a patto naturalmente che vengano ascoltate con la dovuta attenzione. È per questo che queste parole sono ripetute uguali in ogni video. Questo è il livello dell’Efficacia dell’Arte, il livello dove l’Arte può veramente e realmente essere positivamente efficace su chi la vive. Non è quindi un livello di Bunkai per chi cerca la spettacolarità o, peggio ancora, la violenza. Chi è il nostro avversario? Questa è la vera domanda a cui il livello il più alto del Bunkai deve cercare la risposta! Risposta che si può trovare solo con il continuo approfondimento dell’Arte - della vita - scelta, iniziando appunto dalla base, dalla tecnica. Forget the sport version of post WWII karate! Go study aikido or ju jutsu for a year. The meaning of the classic karate kata movements will spring to life. Look for arm bars, wrist locks followed by knocking out the other person's knee balance. HInt: a closed hand DOES NOT have to mean a fist. It is often a grab and hold/lock.
Good stuff, but this is very basic bunkai. The level of analysis is for beginners. This is what is called Omote Bunkai: no to little real world application, this level of bunkai is meant for beginners to start understanding the basics of kata.
Hello Daniel, have you seen the video till the end? There is also the Ōyō Bunkai which is the synthesis of the application of concrete techniques and strategies embedded in the kata, one of the most advanced applications. The aim of the video is to showcase how deep the study of the kata could go from a linear bunkai to a most advanced one and beyond.
@@StefanoBesana Yes I saw that, but that is still a very superficial analysis of kata. First of all, this is great knowledge. Most dojos don't go into this level of detail... so respect to Sensei Marchini. I'm not criticizing him, I'm not criticizing at all. Like I said, this is good stuff. I am simply saying that there are different levels to disassemble and analyze any given kata and, in this case, even what I see towards the end of the video, it is still very basic, very superficial to me... a.k.a. Omote. Oyo Bunkai, to the best of my understanding is more an activity than a level of analysis. It is simply the execution of the bunkai analysis and conclusions on an opponent, and that can be done in 3 different levels, as you probably know: Omote, Ura and Honto. You can do Oyo Bunkai and still be at the Omote Level. Nothing wrong with that. What I see in the video is very, very obvious from the kata (and that's totally fine, that's what most dojos (the few that do bunkai) present to the public. IT'S FINE AND IT'S APPRECIATED). What I mean is that Sensei Marchini is not explaining any hidden (as in: not obvious) aspects of the kata techniques, and again, that is fine too. I'm just trying to tell the viewer... there is more to it, don't settle. But once again, this is great and it's a fine video.
