Just a quick question regarding how traditional boilers operate when heating the hot water cylinder ONLY.
Summer is approaching so radiators will be soon be off 😊.
I noticed my boiler firing for two minutes, then goes on standby, while the pump keeps operating for about three minutes, before firing again for another two and so on until the cylinder thermostat is satisfied shutting the boiler off.
Will all those short cycles prematurely wear down my traditional condensing boiler?
Yes of course it will…..use your immersion in the summer months…

Hi Mark, Whilst I may have my Cylinder Stat set to 55, what temp do you recommend the Boiler DHW flow target to be set to for quick and efficient reheat cycle eg 60 or 75 ?
70 degrees
