Great video again!!,I'm here in a tiny village in England in the county of Leistershire,I really enjoy your brilliant words and how u explain things,I can't get out much due to a heart condition so watching videos like yours really helps, thanks again, take care....
Bless you man! Hope you get better, I don't know if you're Christian or not but I'll pray for you either, way, best wishes!
Glad to hear even all the way across the pond you find joy in watching my vids!! Thanks again!
Hey CUZ! Glad your spirits are high!
Favorite fishing RUclipsr cause he doesn’t try to “ hype people up” which is basically lying and talking in a baby voice and screaming about everything. No promoting no rambling no bullshit. Wish everyone was like this.
You are one of the least commercial fisherman. What I'm trying to say is that you don't advertise and sell your products like some respected kayak or surf fisherman does, you deserve much more subscribers.
I am an avid fly fisherman and really enjoyed watching you catch strippers on a fly. Thanks
Good looking out my friend!...Iam about to do exactly that. Your lesson is a great help ...thanks again ,sir!
Sweet catch on the fly! More of that plz.
These videos are great. I watch nearly every other day. Only found the channel a few months back but def my fav fishing RUclipsr.
You are amazing. I fished the north and south side this week without a bite. Threw everything g in the bag. Glad I don’t have To video my day
Was watching and said to myself man I wish you would bring out the Long rod and bam there it was. Thx. :) LOVE THE FLY RODDING
Good to see you out with the fly rod again.
i love your videos it is so great to see a serious salt angler on video and your vidoes are so entertaining too
Great video resourceful with the plugging tactics
That was an awesome day of fishing
Just found your channel. Great stuff. Grew up in Mystic but live in SW Florida now. These striper fishing vids hit me right in the feels. We used to run out to Montauk or fish Fishers Island off of Race Rock.
Damn good catches 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🐟🐟🐟
Great fly casts including double hauls. Like you I cast right hand and reel righthand. The advantage is when you cast the shooting line is unlikely to snag around the reel handle.
Awesome like always, 👍💪
awesome video!! keep it up!
Love reading the comments and seeing how everyone tells you what to wear and how you should fish lol
Pops are tops...love those explosive hits even if small but fly was awesome too
Time for 24 hour kayak challenge 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Hard fishing, bro'. Thanks for the vid'.
Taking a trip last weekend of June into 1st couple days of July, would you think Cape cod canal or montauk? Both are a 6hr drive from south jersey, I've had luck at both spots just curious on your thoughts
Was a productive day we would have been happy with a day like that
what are a few good cleat products for your boots when walking on the rocks?
When you reel the line do you do it fast or slow ?
I'm very new on topwater fishing..
Hey Rich what size treble hooks do you typically buy for striper plugs?
Great video.... nice day hi from puertorico
Nice video 👍
I always have good time when using white lures and poppers especially at early in the morning. Nice fishing and what is your set up like?
pls can u explain yr rod n gear used n yes i sincerely appreciate yr videos as m jus getting started on lure fishing pls cheers

Hi, are you working the poppers like a spook, walk the dog? I fish for GT'S in Hawaii, we try to get a big splash of commotion, big bubble trail. Like side sweep, short or long.
Fly fishing yes!
How is that St. Croix surf rod holding up? Do you still use it?
Nice, very nice.
Nice video, where did you get your cleats? I need one i might head to Montauk this weekend thank you Rich
Thanks for the 1000 likes FishAholic’s!!
do you use a shock tippet and strength...
Gracias
I subscribe to your channel now. excellent work!!
Hey man could you list the top water lures you used in this video for the striped bass fishing
Brautiful video and great fun once again. Keep it up bro!
Been killing on the wonder bread and brown finback shads, really like them. Heading to North Fork from Southern Maine next week for some bigger fish:)
Awesome!! send pics any time would love to see
Nice 👍 thanks
Sundown to sun up is what I learned, but carry on, you know your stuff.
haha its hard to film sundown to sun up
@@FishAholicTV True,forgot about that.Tight lines, Rich.
What kind of boots are those that you are wearing? They seem to stick pretty good on those rock.
Come on down to Savannah, GA, and fish the Savannah River tributaries for 40+ inch Stripers that swim up the creeks to breed. You can't keep them, but they are fun to catch!!
Why do that when he's in the mecca of striper fishing?
Hi Rich,
I really enjoy watching your videos , great stuff buddy , I fish at my backyard and we have only pike and large mouth bass and caught many but I guess fishing in Florida is much better , good luck . Mazin
How do u find these spots I am new to surf fishing and can only get a cuple of bass and a a Blue
What are those under you’re shoes an where can I find them
Have you ever fished up north for striper? I’m from New Hampshire
Nice video. Nice poppr. Bravo from Israel.
How do you like the tsunami shield?
What length rod are you using?
Is that a St Croix triumph? What length and action?
An excellent presentation, Rich . You are very articulate and know your stuff..You manage to keep everyone’s interest on que..I appreciate your catch and release technique.. It’s amazing the different comments that you receive. Yes , the negativism will always be there. It’s their loss..How about a catch/cook session..Fresh/Salt or maybe smoking bluefish or pan fry a rainbow 🌈 trout or striped bass Alfredo??
Be safe out there ..You might want to invest in a mini Drexel(sp)drill with a rotating disc to cut your hook shank if you or a fellow 🐠 fisherman takes a hook .. TIGHT LINES
which rod are you using exactly?
Fly fishing fly fish..hehe
Do you stop fishing before dark because you are filming? I primarily only striper fish in the dark, when the monsters come out! Though I love a good snotty overcast day early ot late in the seasons.
Is that fish you call a blue the same as a fish found in South Africa's coast line call a Shad or Elf?
How do you decide if you’re going with the Mojo or the Triumph? I’m from/in Rhode Island. Can’t decide which rod is best for the beach/jetty? Love the videos, man. Keep it up. Hope to see you back in R.I. soon.
What length rod is that?
What brand snap are using? Size?
Hope that you have ordered more hats, Rich
Rich is it just braid to TA clip ? I don’t think I saw any leader or mono connecting the braid
I was using a 40lb leader
Are poppers that good??
I loved my Tsunami talking popper, bone colored.. but I smashed it on a jetty last week on accident and now they're sold out.
When you caught the cocktail blue you said “this might be a sign that the end is here (or at least near).” What did you mean ? What is coming to an end?
I’m pretty sure he was referring to the bluefish school coming in and feeding which pushes the bass out hence the end of bass fishing at that spot
What glove is that?
n pls with yr fishing line can u pls advise me how many lbs braid to u use for stripper n big blue fish n do u put any trace steel wire in front of braid pls
tnks
pompeii
Everything should be in the description but in this video I'm using 30lb Green Moss Power Pro Braid and a 40lb Fluoro Leader. I was mainly targeting Stripers so therefore I don't fish with a wire/steal leader. When fishing with plugs like in this video sometimes even when targeting blues you can get away with out using a wire leader because the hooks aren't near the line but if I'm fishing a scenario like in this video here ruclips.net/video/2cOx8YtEixM/видео.html
With a crazy amount of gator blues then I'll definitely fish with a wire leader.
Rusty?🤔🤨 I don't know about that, first cast and you got a fish! WOW 🤙
Those shoes and slacks..... any specs on those?
looking for a solid, but cheap rod for schoolie fishin...any suggestions?
My johnson
Pj Hender I think he was lookin for something without an infection
Hey I went to montuk couple times didn't have any luck the next time you go can we link up...
Beautiful fish, Congratulations this place is wonderful.
It seems here where I do my Fishery too.
*Hug!!!* 👍
what clip are you using at the end of your leader? I love the surf vids a lot 👍🏼👍🏼
Called a tactical anglers clip
Jules Critelli size #4?
Nice video 👍 what dry top and waders are you using please?
Looks like he had Patagonia waders, you catch a brief glimpse of the logo towards the end👍
yeah patagonia rio azule waders and my surf top is in the description of the video
What fly reel/rod are you using?
Islander LA 4.5 and a 10wt sage
You my friend, are very brave reaching in bare hand with thrashing fish and wildly swinging treble hooks. Had me nervous the whole video. Thumbs up tho!👍👍
haha I've been doing it for awhile so I just go all in
haha so have I but that didn’t stop a freshly sharpened treble from lodging itself so deep into my thumb effectively bonding myself to a gator blue a mile from civilization without a pair of pliers that wouldn’t cut the hook. Can you guess what kind of tools i carry now 😂. Call me paranoid but I keep my digits away!! Be safe pal and keep up the vids👍👍🤘
@@xlandscaper I've been pinching the barbs on all treble hooks for decades. No worries and no issues losing fish.
And I dream to be as good as you are at striper fishing
haha a little luck is key
What pliers were you using thx tight lines
Just these shimano pliers that need to wd40ed all the time so nothing special
tell me the sing in11:37.thanks
Wow
Where are you Fishing?
as soon as you put on white popper i knew ya get one
always pick that color first next time!
White is right! It's mostly all I fish after 40+ years.
More fresh water fishing please . Still love your vids Thnx and keep them vids coming
Vince Kearney fresh water fishing sucks 👎🏽👎🏽
Air God I love fresh and saltwater equally
I love both and there is more options to fish year round
Hola que señuelo puedo usar el mar
Where are you fishing?😣
You should make a video of you smallie fishing at fort pond
yeah i want to get out there bad and catch some biggins.
👍👍👍👍
Great video. I think by the 🗼 in background the Harbor is alive with action. Try Devon yacht club in the evening
Devon, CT.?
Loose the snap swivel and tie a non slip mono loop.
John skinner would say the swirl on the popper indicated you are in a good spot but the presentation/lure needs to be adjusted.
When you do those "walk by" shots, are you faking it? Like put the camera down, walk by and walk back to pick up the camera?
I love your fishing man.... it would be nice to see something else besides stripers ... it's all good tho
Stripers are life son..
@@bunka-boydrew2874 haha for all the Fishaholic's it is
Yeah now I am stuck living in Florida, missing those northeast bass like I'm missing my fam..
I bet you can tie a rock to line & still catch a fish & that's the video I'm waiting for. Thx again coach👍
haha fish do eat rocks . sooo its possible
River???????
My parents asked me what my graduation present would be I saw this video and we are leaving tomorrow morning
A great present lol!
Where is this at

You can never have enough close up's of wading boots on stones.... never.....
Love the channel. Love the vids but don't get the rain gear and waiders when it 70deg out. See this all the time where I fish and don't get it.
a tatro idk me personally it’s not a temperature thing but I hate being wet when I’m out. Like it doesn’t stop me by any means but like I’d much rather be dry and comfortable especially if I was out allllllll day.
@@dylanwilliams8007 But don't you get wet sweating? My dry top only comes out in the snotty cold conditions, below 50 and only if there is a chance of getting repeatedly wet.
