MORE SHRED!!! MORE SHRED!!! ;) Love your lessons, Brett. Just bought your major and minor pentatonic licks bundles, so killer! Keep 'em coming, you're one of my fave youtube instructors.
I never thought of mixing up minor pentatonic and mixolydian. Totally a major/minor thing going on. I liked it when you mentioned the minor third on the hi E string. I need to become more aware of the notes I'm playing. Someone was just talking about how important that is! : )
It seems like you bounce between the .73 and .88 picks - what makes you decide on which to use? I switch between them as well and usually go .88 as it gets heavier. Thanks - I love your videos.
BP, In your " Tricks To Soloing In The Pocket - Guitar Lesson - Blues Rock Soloing " video , , could you transcribe that video as part of your lick of the week ? I would sooo appreciateit !!!! Thanks pops
Sir stache- Love your playing style man... but I must ask, are you hybrid picking on a lot of your runs in your vids? Sounds and looks like you’re popping the top string with your ring finger - kinda reminds me of some of that crazy stuff that Greg Koch does maybe? Any chance on a video on that hybrid picking pattern you do if that is in fact what you’re doing? Thank you for your videos sir!
Brett, lesson idea: incorporating double stops into pentatonic solos. Some of the best solos use double stops and chord-type licks in the solo (e.g. Rikki Don’t Lose, Nail in My Heart by Squeeze, etc) but I really don’t know how to think about putting them into stuff like you showed in this video. Thanks again for the great lessons. Cheers!
BRETT PAPA< try to find a bunch of Warren DeMartini scales that he uses scale sequencing patterns because that is the major core of what the does and so does Uli roth if you can make a video lesson about scale sequencing patterns that they both use.

There are a few things going on here, E minor and E major pentatonic, E mixolydian, and some chromatic runs just for fun! I'm using the E minor pentatonic frame and then peppering in other notes to add some color.

How old is your strat ?
About 10 years old.
He’s on 🔥
Haha, thanks!
So is this based around the key of EM, using em, and Bmixolydian (5th degree of EM)?
I was thinking E minor with E mixolydian mixed in there.
What about some srv or Gilmour licks
For sure! Coming soon!
Wich is The scale You user in this video ?
