Brilliant ! I'm an old guy who was fortunate to live in Richmond a few years in the early 2000's. Wonderful friends, cookouts, just hanging out, going to the Byrd Theatre, Bayside Seafood, the best, I'll always remember the time I spent in Richmond, VA. I was a teacher for a brief while, the song actually brought me to tears, I don't know when the world is going to get it.

You guys proved that there is still hope in music. People have lost the art of music but I'm glad to see you guy's took your time and and respected this song in a way that others would not have.
Whooooaah! We had an OPEN call for 2 months to be a part of the project. ANYONE was invited to provide input. And this song is a timeless classic. It's not about R&B or HipHop. And this is only ONE project so how do you figure "If it's not hip hop or R&B I guess it aint **** to Black RVA"? Blacks actually laid down the foundation for rock to begin with, ie Chuck Berry/Fats Domino so why wouldn't we embrace it. Raise awareness, not hell with us!

I know my reply is a little late, but I love this video, because I'm from RVA. And really what I get is RVA PRIDE. It just happens that the video was created by a talented group of black artists. Now, when I see white artists singing about their home towns or states, I never think the song has "racist undertones". Maybe it's because when they sing about how "we ALL need to work together" you just can't see yourself being a part of that "we". But brother, you're included too. We are ALL RVA
My father and his partner John Whitehead wrote this song a long time ago for Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, It's good to see the message is still relevant. Keep doing what you're doing, positivity always pays off in the long run. Great Job.
