So beautiful. I’m so glad you stayed. You were definitely rewarded and you passed that beauty to us. Thank you! The moose….those majestic creatures amaze me. He was beautiful and of course the Loon is so special! For you and Jim, to take us along, is a blessing for me.✌️❤️
Good morning! That sure is a lot of rain. That's a beautiful area. Thanks for sharing the information about the park! Have fun & Enjoy your time together. ;) 💕
I wholeheartedly agree that South Branch is the best campground experience in BSP. I’ve never hiked into the interior area around Russell Pond so I’m hoping that you get some great weather for the hike through Pogy Notch. I wish sometimes that I still lived in ME.
*_Hello... in your country it's the rainy season, we in Indonesia are in the dry season, there are even some areas that are already running out of water... greetings from Indonesia_* 💯👌👍
I was watching someone else on the AT in January 2023 and they were at a shelter early on in Georgia and the mist came in and their sleeping bags and clothes were all soaked in the morning! I remember you being in the mist a lot but don’t remember you having their problem of everything being completely soaked. Did you do anything to prevent that or were you just lucky or will staying in a tent prevent the soaking? Seems like Georgia in January-February is often very misty but I haven’t noticed other people having a major problem with their sleep system being soaked in the morning?
Condensation was a huge challenge for me maily because I opted for a single wall tent. I knew this before starting but given the weight difference - huge savings with SW tents- I rolled the dice anyway. I did have issues with condensation and my quilt getting wet from the condensation either dripping down on me or me hitting it with my feet during the night. I had to pull all my stuff out of my pack later in the day in the sun to dry it off, or get to camp early enough to lay things out to dry before I used them. Most of the time it was ok but honestly, once things got wet, they were damp until I was able to get into town and really dry them out. Never had the mist come into the shelter and soak my stuff though.
