It’s amazing how Psychology basically states how important important the impressionable childhood is
YES.
They're all quacks!
Your entire subconscious is formed by ages 6-8 based on the environment (soil) you were planted in. However, the hopeful news is now we finally have effective treatment for trauma and so much more coming that can truly heal and rewire broken/ damaged connections. Never lose hope.
Exactly 💯
And alot still deny it and the subconscious 🙄
I like how she said " I perceived her to be..." she's being very kind but also not downplaying her trauma or personal experiences.
Society is conditioned to not be too direct about women’s character flaws.
She is a abusive parent
@@ayamystic2thats definitely not true. People talk about womens ‘flaws’ all the time. Megan however is talking about her mother and not women as a whole.
@@Tina-pj4lghow do you know???
@CaliforniaGal YES! I'm taking notes.
she knows herself so well and she can fully articulate her feelings into words . very rare to speak such honesty.
She has good self awareness. This is key to growth and ending the cycle of childhood trauma
She's repeating what her therapist has said to her. Come on. Even Drew told you.
So intelligence is based on being able to repeat what you've been told. ok
I recall actors and actresses playing scripts in films to even short clips. Glad you believe what is for sale.
She speaks for a living
It’s great to see celebrities speaking at this level of awareness publicly
and doing blood rituals 😂
Because it sells nowdays. Authenticity is marketing lol
I love how self-aware she is, and how in touch with herself that she is, especially in the way, she described her mother she used the word perceived. She wasn’t claiming it to be fact. it was her perception which makes it valid. I love that about her. Very well spoken.
Too bad she ain't w her kids
@@addieperrymanExactly!
@@addieperrymanShe has shared custody with her kids. What you chatting about?
She shares joint custody.
Let’s not mistake someone quoting everything that they were told by their therapist during therapy as someone being smart and self-aware
She's self aware at least, so even if she can't find stability - she's working at understanding her reaction to partners
Hopefully she can heal her childhood wounds and find a healthy relationship.
@@leehalloway8787yes all of us who need this
Yes! She’s absolutely on her way. Once you can recognize these things, then you can alter your choices accordingly.
If you're only repeating what a therapist told you, that's not exactly self-aware.
A self-aware person doesn't need to go to therapy, they already have a firm grasp on their issues and where they stem from.
She doesn’t seem self aware enough to realize that the nose ring and ridiculous hair is a flashing beacon for troubled guys.
She is such a well-spoken young woman I absolutely have come to appreciate and adore her
Not young, but incredibly well spoken
What a very smart woman.
Not very smart when you know the trap and still carry on and walks into it vouluntarily
The way she so eloquently described how she chooses partners truly was astounding. She definitely has a good therapist.
or has had a few as happens when, as Megan stated, she obviously has been in therapy a long, long time ❤
I agree, the fact that she can express this using the right words is very important in understanding it for yourself and saying it to others. Also this idea of aggression and passiveness shows in her style. For example the darkish red hair with the light blue butterflies
She was very careful with her wording as well. Like when she said outright, I do not want to hurt my mother, but I perceived her as being too passive. So basically, she’s trying very hard to not sound accusatory to her mother. She said this is what I perceive things to be. She really did explain her situation very well while also doing her best to not hurt or place blame on anyone involved. Except her step father of course. And he deserves all the blame here.
It’s right out of high school . Talk about immature shallow relationships
She is a manipulative wannabe-witch lmao. She chooses very weak men and makes them wear lipstick.
I love the fact that she knows this kind of things, like how we repeat our parents stories sometimes and we ATTRACT similar situations
How would we help teens and 20s to all get this level of awareness and hopefully keep future generations from making very painful or dangerous mistakes
We all do that unless we heal our past traumas
I think that could change if we realize that we don't attract situations or people, we LOOK FOR that (of course, not intentionally). When we acknowledge that we have will (also responsibility) then we realize we have control and power to change that. We need to learn to see us in control and not it the victim role.

It really does. It may even prompt some of the listeners to seek therapy for themselves. I'm sitting here really considering it seriously for myself. I'm insightful and can do a lot of self analyzing but it's not quite the same thing is it

Not only this, but she was the first to call out the creepy Hollywood directors (Micheal Bay) before the METOO movement was a thing. And she got cancelled for it! We owe her a massive apology
she was actually blacklisted, labeled as "difficult to work with" or smthin
There’s never been reports of Michael Bay being sexually abusive to a female actress or crew member. Does he choose too many sexually charged images to push his films? Yes, but a sexual predator on set? No. Don’t confuse the two.
. Lets just ignore the fact that he chose a literal teenager to pursue and sexualize. Nothing creepy about that. Not to mention the sugestiveness that has to be verbalized to convey the intent on set in front of a bunch of other creepy people. All normal.

It’s absolutely amazing how our childhood stays with us even when we have been adults for years.
It doesn't have to, people tend to keep it going and some prefer to be victims to their past
So does our Adulthood. Our whole loves stay with us.
@@WaitforurloveCorrect. The past may affect us but it doesn’t have to define and damn us to failure. After talking to my dad who denied the abuse he caused, I fully woke up. I’m no longer going to allow him to ruin my life and now that I’m an adult I REFUSE to allow anyone to abuse me. If I get married, I plan to marry a loving, kind, caring, and respectful man because I don’t deserve to be treated horribly. Yeah, our childhood experiences shape who we become as an adult. Shame that Freud was mostly concerned with that because a lot of people discredit that fact now.

But what she said her explains it all :// I hope she finds her happiness, her healthy happiness. And that she gets that role that pushes her and shows how great she is.
I think she’s become an amazing woman, but it wasn’t Hollywood propaganda that made me dislike the younger her. It was a description, while laughing, from her mouth of her abuse of her ex husband & a comment (paraphrasing) that hitting him with objects didn’t count as abuse because she’s a girl.
