Being a RAV4 Hybrid...from what I've read, you should be able to operate the heater, or A/C, through the night, just as Prius owners are able to do ("Hotel Prius" mode), when ambient temperature conditions require. That's a good option to have!
I’m 6”3 and can sleep in my 2024 xle . If I push the left passenger seat all the way forward . I removed the back headrest on the folded down part. And I fill in the empty space with a cooler. I have about 2 inches left.
Gm Jen! I love this! The canopy is fabulous!! It’s definitely fun to carry all you need…I have a subaru outback, as my dog is huge. Would love to car camp…😎🐾🐾🥾🥾 Best of luck with your new vehicle!!
We almost got a rav4, but decided on the corolla cross. It's extremely similar but with just a little less ground clearance. But the awd works very well! Great video!
Good for you! We have a family truck camper but I'm also organizing my van for solo camps. My only advice is keep it simple! One can sleep in it at home first to see how it goes. 👍😎🇨🇦
This was so helpful!! I’m getting ready to drive back to Alaska from Wisconsin and it was nice to get those dimensions and accessory tips! Made me feel much better about the roominess-level traveling with my cat.
Thanks for the ideas. I had a Rav but now a Tacoma is my primary vehicle. Likely will be going back to a Rav as a secondary, trading in my Corolla. I like the canopy and the window screens. For colder weather, a small 12 volt electric blanket might be a nice addition...my preference is to sleep on top of it. I have one and use a small Jackery to power it.
I like the window screens. I have a full Size check cargo van and set up for camping. Only thing I dont have is window screens. Reminds me to look for them to fit my van. Nice set up and you utilized the space very well.

Nice!! Car camping is something I would tryout!
Nice buggy and setup CJ, I would just go with what you have now and let it figure it self out on it’s own. 👍😃✌️

How is your mileage with the box on your roof?
I never leave it on for long, so I don't know. Roof racks from 6.5 L/100km to 6.8 L/100km
Heck! You could sleep in the Rhino Rack! Lol😂😂😂

Toyotas are great. You'll have them a long time.
Your step two is making a bed. Isn't step two supposed to be a beer per steve wallis?
