I'm all in on the idea of making all new maps and staying away from remasters for along time, like everyone was speculating that citadel would be a DE remaster but I'm so happy it's not bc it has it own personality and I have been having a great time with it!! No remasters only new ideas and experiences for while PLEASE
I genuinely believe the photo is just to reference the map, of a point of interest in the story, but not a location we as players will be playing on. They've been vocal about going to crazy locations and being original, this would go against their words completely, even if it is possibly the spawn room. Could even be something we arrive on via cutscene, but stuff happens that takes our characters somewhere else ( underground, Crazy Place styled stuff ) and I'm confident this'll be a Spiritual Successor to Origins! Also, something interesting about the AI situation is that SAG has also been making somewhat ridiculous demands for their agreement, which is part of the reason why there hasn't been one just yet. Activision has already agreed that AI Protection needs to be a thing, it's just people on both ends being weird. I hope things get figured out sooner than later 😭

The next map will definitely have an undergound or entirely separate area for zombies only. The sentinal artifact is there but it seems like no one has found it, and the amulet we have is supposed to be used on the sentinal artifact. So maybe we use the sentinal artifact and it plays out similar to ancient evil’s into cutscene where maybe we use the amulet and it opens a secret area where the artifact is. Maybe then they can do an origins connection, yet I think they want to distance themselves from aether and go full chaos and that’s why Ravenov called it a dig site not excavation site. And if the map did take place above ground in warzone then the normal cod story would get intertwined since a outbreak like this in Avalon would not be covered up especially since there isn’t a government force that can sweep it under the rug. And MWZ made it clear that almost no one knows of the existence of zombies except a few survivors from past outbreaks but that’s a very small amount. And regarding Ai, it’s the worst thing ever. So many things in bundles, the calling cards, free rewards, even the gobble gum background images use ai and it’s horrible. And replacing actors entirely even though they were in the game is insane. And since they replaced sam’s voice on terminus it really lowers her chance of coming back and she’s such an integral part of this story 😕
I reckon it could be a cutscene. I think in the opening cutscene we head to that digsite on the warzone map and go beneath it to be transported somewhere else. I just don’t think we will have 2 maps in the same location
Personally I’ve never cared about zombies maps being made from reused assets. They’ve always done this from the beginning, it’s goes all the way back to WAW, and it’s never bothered me one bit
I mean if this digsite has an area from that Avolon area it isn’t the end of the world as long as the map is made good and fun to play that’s all that matters the real problem is this whole AI situation and actors getting recasted because they want protection

People need to realize developers don't always own the game they're just employees of the owner of the game, further more call of duty is a franchise meaning any studio can franchise cod with their permission hence why so many different cods are made, another thing to mention is even though we buy a copy as investors we literally have no ownership of the development process or the assets within the game. So basically we're the lowest level investors when it comes to associating with call of duty Add all that up together and you'll quickly realize we're trying to claim authority over something we never authority over to begin with. Long story short people hate call of duty because they don't know contracts and they don't understand what call of duty is providing People think they have a say so when in reality the only thing call of duty is providing is a platform to record all of you profile data so that can be sold to credit reporting agencies that deal with social platforms so those profiles can be sold off to third parties interested in fps profile input output data for game developers
I’m pretty disappointed with the ai stuff replacing the va’s must really suck to be a dev spending all that time on a map to find out just before the map releases, ‘we have to recast most of our main characters.’ I don’t really understand why the activision contracts mandate that they have the right to create ai profiles of the characters, they must understand that actors are not going to accept this and I think their work is important enough to gain assurances against ai.

And the saddest part is that this year (bo6), Zombies his carrying HARD, like I know a couple of my friends got into bo6 after watching Liberty Falls Trailer and left mp cuz it was punishing them for being good😂 So to think they are treating this mode as an afterthought and going as far as to replacing the soul of zombies (the VAs) is so so so shallow. Saying I’m disappointed is an understatement.

I know most casual players probably don't care... But I really dislike that maps are on the larger warzone map. I get that it helps cut down dev time, as the team just needs to focus on the overall warzone map and pick out certain POI's for other content... and I wouldn't call that "lazy" or anything (as I've seen some people put it), but its really just time and resource management. But even with maps on Multiplayer it just gives me the "ick". Knowing that this specific multiplayer map is really just on Warzone... Give me something unique! not something apart of Avalon. Same thing with zombies and I hope that the digsite POI on Avalon really isn't the dlc2 for zombies.
I for one hope there is no map regurgitation stick with new interesting maps and do not I repeat do not make the same mistake that about destroyed zombies origins is classic leave it lay….
