Hi it's nice to see that our south African people can work very hard. Imagine you look so young and you are such a hard worker. Omg. I cannot carry 1 block I get back pain. South African government must motivate these youngsters to open their own business. There will be no more shacks and people can live in nice houses. I bought 100 blocks at R8 each. God bless to this young man and may the lord open doors of opportunities for him. Wishing you everything of the best brother. Even I can support your business by buying your blocks to neaten around my house. God bless you.

Unfortunately, they still only have a choice of two roofing types, Tin or Asbestos. So very noisy in a downpour. Tiles are way too expensive.
Asbestos roofing has been banned in the UK and Sweden and many other countries. You have to call in experts to demolish such a roof.
The dust/fiber stays in your lungs.

plz note the wind fan is the major cause of back pain!!!! And indeed, they dont monopolize knowledge for greedy money. We have kids that aspire to become doctors, to help people ♥

Just so you know next time, your blocks had dried out too much to bother with the water, next time cover then with a sheet of plastic with stones on the corners
to keep the damp air inside, you also need to spray on them before sleeping or late. As some cements have a very short burning time, this is so that workers can empty
forms/molds for walls the following day and use them again. Yet privately, when using a thicker amount of cement for screening a floor for example, you need to flood the floor
with a lot of water. Before you cement a wall, wet the blocks, to stop them sucking out the water from the cement. Then wet again by spraying with a mist and hose after and during
the laying of the blocks ok.

It is encouraging to see such a young man doing all this. He should note that the top of the brick is arched and not flat due to the fact that the unit with which he slides the brick out of the mold, is too thin and arches and rocks in the larger housing. I suppose it could be corrected by the layer of mortar in between the bricks, but a sharp eye can see it immediately and it does look " untidy". It can be corrected very easily. Making molds needs attention, as such a mold should last a long time and repeats the product with a high degree of accuracy.
Still Congratulations, well done, and all the best in your life.

Nice video! I would like better descriptions of what is being done.
What is ratio cement to sand? How many parts cement to how many parts sand?
I could figure it myself from trial and error.
I think you said "5 wheelbarrels" is a good starting point to one bag (what size?) of cement?
I could dump 1 bag of cement into (what size wheel barrel?) to see how much of 1 wheel barrel one bag of cement is?
Would be much better to have a number on cement to sand then you can use any size wheel barrel and any amount of sand and any amount of cement to make
any size batch of blocks that you want.
Good video and good starting point..
I can figure this out from trial and error.
Also on day two pouring water into blocks is not clear why.
I'm guessing this just helps to "finish" curing the concrete?
and get water into other places to make it cure better inside the block?
Or is this just a test for cracks? water leaks out fast if the block is bad?
    Thanks again!

Not sure, but i think when they say ratio 1:8 in wheelbarrows they meant per wheelbarrow of cement which is 2 x cement bags, not 1 cement bag to 8 wheelbarrows of sand but 1 cement wheelbarrow. Meaning per wheelbarrow its 4 or 4 1/2 or even 5 wheelbarrows cement.
2 x cement bags fit into 1 wheelbarrow.

Thank you for the information. Ive always dreamed of making my own home with affordable diy materials. This seems to be the way to build a strong cheap home. Paint the inside, use a light water resistant material that is sloped for the roof, build a floor with a cement / plywood base, lay some carpet, and run a wire in that shit and ill live in a one room home with one door and zero windows. Id consider a few windows for an ac unit and ventilation but other than that im a minimalist.
