“My story is but one of thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon.”
No, but the AC franchise will suffer, Ezio.
Yes
true...
The series got hucked out the window a few years later.
True, such a well written character
❤️
Jesus that intro gave me a shiver down my spine. Revelations and the entire Ezio trilogy is a masterpiece
All assassins creed games where good like the ezio series, black flag and others but then came syndicate and odyssey and ruined everything
I agree
@Micah Williams Thank you sir
It's a fucking crime what they've done to Assassin's Creed. So many iconic moments, reduced to horses with LED wings
Keenan Powell
You eventually become an assassin and deal with both the templars and the assassins without the templars or assassins black flag would just be about a guy on a pirate ship. odyssey has nothing to do with either of those things. Black flag did have things that would make you feel like an assassin.
I actually never understood the hate for this game I actually enjoyed it
Touchè sir, Touchè
You are very right people like games not story.
PTR Crispy this game has hate?! Who and where?!
For me is a solid game. I didn't like the tower defense at all. Also I think the setting is a bit bland. Apart from the monuments most of the city feels exactly the same.
The rest I don't have any other complaints

Revelations had one of the best ac stories, it's just that the rest of the game is lacking content a bit. Still amazing story and writing though, and the cutscenes are really well directed. Wish modern ac had this kind of writing.
I sort of agree. The perfect ending to the perfect arc
@@bipstymcbipste5641 sad that they didnt just go with the altair story. Like its longer and we play 50% of ezio and then 50% of altair

We began in Assassin's Creed II with us seeing him born. And the Embers mini movie showed his death. We were there for most of his life.
A little surreal when you think about it

@@Sinsanatis I don't know.
The journey of the precursor box is even more crazy. The box that has a map to those underground Pieces on Eden in Rogue. It passed through so many hands. Ezio, Shao Jun, Adewale, Shay, Charles Dorian. And so many more.
And the manuscript to translate it, the Voynich Manuscript, was scattered around the world. But Edward Kenway found four of them. You can find them in Black Flag scattered across the Caribbean.
Not all of the pages were used in translating what needed to be done to use the box. Some weren't found until the 1800's. And the manuscript can be used to understand more than just the box.
And Yusuf is still one of the most pointless but lovable characters in Assassins creed history seriously he does almost nothing

Unpopular opinion but I think I like revelations even more than ac2 in a way. The story and the setting just stands out so much and it's so much more mature and meaningful... Especially the ending. That ending has to be one of the best endings to a game trilogy/series ever. Sure, the gameplay and the map wasn't as exciting as brotherhood for example but the story, the characters and the music just made it perfect. Take a note ubisoft.
Revelations is the only game where I actually liked Ezio. He was wiser and more mature, unlike this high pitched, italian greaseball with the annoying accent in AC2.
They don’t take notes of unpopular opinions.
Its very underrated
Niek Warnas what do you mean?! U had Yusuf, Sulliman, Sofia, your apprentice, even subject 16’s little greaseball self, there’s so many characters to name
But Ezio in Revelations had the all the inhabitants of a cave city choked to death via smoke inhalation
I will always hold fast in the belief that had Ezio not been tripped up by seeing Altair's Spectre he would've killed every single one of those Templars
You're not wrong
I always saw it was that altair didn't want him to kill so needlessly or somthing along those lines as he became wiser in his old age and viewing the apple. so when he turned his back on ezio ezios blade broke
@@sleepyz6358 Mind blown omg
@@sleepyz6358 I wouldn't say needlessly... they were kind of trying to end his life in that specific instance

@@IlMemetor72 bitch lemme have hope
Eh, I enjoyed the new ones. I hope they don't suffer the same fate as the old AC where every game was literally the same (fun but seriously the same).
@@86Fallowcp If you felt like every game was the same you should go back and replay them, especially Ezio's games, those are the shit
@@xiaoxiaoguy395 I actually enoyed Odyssey this free weekend. I thought it would be worse but nah, still felt like an ac weirdly enough. Also, I love that Ezio's theme was in the menu.
The open world stuff leaves a lot to be desired and Constantinople as a city is rather bland, to say nothing of the “modern day” bits...
But the story of this game, ESPECIALLY Altair’s resolution, is what brings up to the standard of what an AC game should be. This is how you end the epic saga of epic characters.
The only problem I have with the open-world is that once you take over a region, there aren't any ottomans, leaving only the janissaries which I really hate
Most of the praise has to do with the beginning scene, Altair missions and the ending of the game. The rest of the game was monotonous and repetitive, especially in comparison to the other Ezio games. The open world of Constantinople felt bland because of the lack of side missions and the gameplay was great but didn't improve much over Brotherhood, only added bombs and a hookblade. I was disappointed overall from the game.
Ezio hucked himself out the window more times than one can count.
I don't get that, I thought Constantinople was the most colorful and exciting city in the series at the time.
Constantinople was much more beautiful than any of the italian cities imo, i wish more AC games would have the mediterranian setting
I never thought about the fact that Ezio said "A magnificient sight" at Constantinople while Suleiman THE MAGNIFICIENT was standing there, too.
The theme song on Revelation was a MASTERPIECE. Especially the OST
I remember I used to keep the main theme on for hours while doing hw or on long road trips. Ahh fond memories...
This and the AC rogue OST are the best AC themes. Yeah, I said it

Istanbul (or at this time Konstantinopel) was such a great city to move around. The cultural aspects of old ottoman empire were great, there were many greek/byzantine leftovers too inside the city. It was a cool game, like all of ezio trilogy ;)
Would be nice if they would do a remake
Its even better today. Theres something for everyone.
Revelations was the one that stood out to me because of the world itself. I speak Turkish myself and just hearing it while exploring and everything made me so gassed. Also the soundtrack when you are just roaming the city is sooo goodd

The intro alone has more nuance than the entirety of Odyssey!
What do you mean.
@@benzengin5725 Ezio says 'I feel that our struggle goes in one direction only, towards chaos.' He clarified in the previous line that he wasn't tired of being the legendary Assassin mentor that he is, only concerned that this war seems to be meaningless in the end.
So here we have the legend himself coming to terms with the fact that his Order may not be 100% foolproof - he is not trapped in dogma. At the same time he may be searching for deeper meaning as he has become wiser with age.
All of this done while staying consistent to the character that was built up from AC II. Now this is storytelling!
damn right
And origins too !!
@@fdp553 origins and odyssey were the best 2 ac games
Ezio was still as badass in his later years, hell even better, than when he was young.
It's kind of like Kratos in the new God of War. Sometimes constraint and discipline are more "badass" than flashy moves. When he was young, Ezio had to prove his worth with action. In Revelations you can feel his authority and strength without him even saying a word.
@@ajeje1996 Yo that analogy was spot on. Both started as young, brash, and reckless characters. And by the time they left their homelands with all the adventures they had there, there were experienced gods (one being an actual god) who had seen and done too much. and even their voices matured throughout the games as if to indicate this progression.
I really liked the end of Ezio's story, this game did well....

I remember the assassin feeling now and understand a bit more why people are pissed off. This shit made me feel like an assassin not killing medusa or Polyphemus
I really don't understand how fighting with a sword that leaves a trail of fire while holding a shield has any fucking relation with assassin combat. Fam I can't fucking assassinate certain enemies cuz they're level is higher than mine wtf
Valhalla has returned to the series' roots in many way. I love Valhalla for the nostalgia it brings.
this trailer alone makes a better movie than the movie
No doubt
Frostic Haze is the movie even canon/connected to the story of the games?
@@CJ_Brim for the sake of everyone that's a fan of the series, i hope not, the mimicking of the assassin in the present day animus was dumb, the games just toss u in a deep sleep play the sequence then pull out an repeat. I'm guessing they didn't want to remake matrix but even at this point they should've worked more on the character an lore building of the past for those who are new to the franchise basically like how marvel did Iron Man. Hell they could've made it about Ezio or an associate and i would've been happy, would give those who have played the games a treat having some sort of familiarity or at the very least an interesting character. I'd even settle for a "good" side character like the many the games had, from Yusuf an Da Vinci to blackbeard an...well i'm sure there's more, i mean even Heimdall was an interesting side character an'd he's the first to die in endgame, he literally was killed off in the first 2 minutes on screen and still fuckin-...ight ill stop here i'm getting off track

Revalations was the very first AC I've got to play. In fact, it was probably one of my first playstation 3 games to ever play. And that sure affects my opinion of it. But I absolutely adored it. Being that old and wise assassin, sneaking through templars in order to kill their leader and then being introduced to Constantinopoly. I loved walking around, finding smooth ways of jumping the roofs, killing templars, discovering the secret of Altair's hidden Library. I rarely thought of the game in a negativ way. I enjoyed it a LOT :)
This was my first AC game I ever played, before that I knew nothing of the series, and what a game in my opinion, I love the franchise and story lines.
Revelations was great. The ending brings back memories. Ezio finding Altaïr in the Secret Library. Btw thank you for including the Intro to this game 🙏
This series went from Requiescat In Pace to MALAKA! pretty quickly.....
Revelations will always be special to me as my first Assassin’s Creed game. I pleaded my parents to buy it for me in anticipation of Assassin’s Creed III. I was 11 or 12. Revelations didn’t make much sense to me but I really got interested in the larger story. Sort of went backwards then forwards.

Black Flag was that last good entry in the series in my opinion , I miss playing online too. 😞
Origins delivered an amazing backstory for the assassins and every game in the whole saga is fun and great its just that some like Odyssey lack the elements that make up an assassins creed game
Over the years, Ubisoft grew in terms of cinematography, pushing the limits further with every games. Everybody remembers the false hangings of Massiaf in AC1, the title card of AC2, the stand off between Ezio and Cesare on the battlefield in AC Brotherhood.
But goddamn, that camera pan at the end of Revelations transitionning from Altaïr seeking rest in his tomb to Ezio kneeling in front of me, gently lit by the disk is one of the most creative and impressive camera work they did.
Lmao I noticed the voice acting thing in my yearly playthroughs of every game
The story in this game is amazing. I also liked the main antagonist Prince Ahmet, he is a pretty cool Templar villain. And the amazing hook blade of course was beast to use in combat and free running on rooftops.
Tbh revelations was my first ac game when i was a child and it still is my favourite
This was the game that got me into this franchise. I misses all prior games and got this from a bargain bin during the summer before college. I fell in love instantly.
Fact:Ezio always looses his right hidden blade in the beginning of all Ezio trilogy because he prefer his left hand than his right hand.
Surely not in the beginning AC2. How can he lose something he doesn't even have yet?
i think what yusuf was explaining to ezio is that the hookblade doesn't always need to be used as a hook, the blade can extend farther than the hook section (such as on the cover art), rather than just the hook fully extended

True, though Assassin's Creed Origins had an awful story as well. It was just as bad, if not worse. The same goes for AC Odyssey.
@@virtualwarp I hated how the dialogue options in Odyssey were so vague, reminds me of Fallout 4 options except they somehow made it even worse. You mess up any of the options when with Deimos, you already lost the best ending.
@@virtualwarp the reason I felt that AC Origins's story lacked a lot of interest was because of how rushed it felt.
