И солист и концертмейстер-супер. Стильно, легко. Если бы Гайдн их услышал, думаю, что он был бы в восторге. БРАВО!!!

Your version reminds me of Baumanns which is the best compliment I can possibly give you! Great job!

What I love, apart from the accuracy and great sound, is the wonderful phrasing and shaping. No-one else does that so beautifully.

Yes!! There is a whole group of horn pieces which are inherently quite dull and disappointing when the horn player first encounters them: I'm thinking of the Beethoven sonata, the Mozart quintet, and the seldom heard [?] Haydn concertos, for example. These pieces rely entirely on the performer to make them sing, to make them -- by sheer force of personality -- SEEM interesting. And with this Haydn concerto, Zeng Yun rises to that challenge I think.
(Counterexamples: with pieces such as the Hindemith concerto, the two Strauss concerti, the Brahms horn trio, it's the other way around: We know already the music is superb, beyond reproach, so the question is: Is the horn player up to it, "worthy" of it? )

Does anyone know of his age at the time of the performance? I am 15 and would love to know how many years I have until I’m pressured to have a sound this beautiful!

Hi Jordan, i'm a pianist and I want to give you a tip... Don't worrie about things like "age", it's only a waste of time and energy. Focus yourself only on the beauty of music, study and play only with happynes and emotion, this Is what make music so special. Enjoy everithing you play and you will play everithing you want to play in less time you tink ;)

Unless this is him already improvising.......I would love to see him improvise. Improvisation is skill and the gateway to writing. We learn from the great ones to inspire and be the next great ones. Don't waste your life imitating Masonic music. Hint hint!! Be great!!
