- In this video, I explain why I'm happy with getting so many of my predictions from my last two videos wrong. I loved it, I'm surprised that we didn't have the blue suit
When I finished watching it I felt quite disappointed. The beginning of the episode with Omniman was the best part of it that scene goes really hard as well as the spiderman scene. The rest of the episode was executed quite badly.
Most of the dialogue felt mechanic and unnatural like when the future guardians find Mark that scene had awful dialogue imo.
The animation was quite bad man. When you compare it to episode 7 you can really see the difference. I was turning my head away from the screen at some moments. Omniman fighting those robots and the spider-man scene were the only well animated scenes.
More inconsistencies with Mark's powers. We're shown multiple times that he has super speed, he enters the house using super speed and never uses it against Angstrom although he had multiple chances to get to him and subdue him. Just break his arms and legs and he's helpless Mark is strong enough to do that.
Also the pacing of that scene should've been a little faster as if felt a little dragging as Mark was going through the other universes. And the tone should've been more consistent like showing Mark confused about those places but ALSO super anxious, tense, worried about his mother and brother. Like with the scenes with spiderman and batman, through the dialogue it doesn't feel like Mark is even a little worried about getting back to save his family and that bugs me because it messes with the tension.
It's like the writers forget about the danger his family is in and go like "take a look at all these references, we got spiderman and doc ock, batman, the walking dead?! Fortnite?! Isn't that cool?! Oh yeah Mark's family is in danger go see that now."
A little nitpick here about him ANGRILY throwing the knife on a house and it just doesn't fly off to the next continent or it doesn't create a shockwave that destroys a part of the house. Anything implying that Mark has super strengh and is losing control.
The soundtrack was quite ineffective most of the time. They could've done a better job with it.
Some scenes didn't need to be there to waste our time like the guy jogging at the beginning completely ruins the tension they set up on the previous episode cliffhanger. That's my opinion though. If they wanted the title card just let Angstrom say it without having to kill the tension of the scene.
The tomb scene was very unnecessary. And the monster girl with rex one could have been moved to season 3 or been made shorter. Delete those to spend more time showing Immortal's mental suffering through his day to day life so the scene with Kate returning feels more impactful because I didn't feel anything in that scene. I was like oh she's alive nice okay cool.
Overall this is unfortunately one of the worst episodes of season 2 for me and it saddens me when I compare it to season 1 finale. This could've been the best episode of the season but episode 1 will keep that tittle with episode 7 being the second best because of Anissa.
I REALLY hope they improve the animation for season 3 because of Invincible War and the fight with Conquest. Those NEED to have anime level animation.
The whole of season 3 is literally The Shibuya Incident. Amazon should wake up and start hiring Jujutsu Kaisen animators asap lol

I'm a busy man hahaha! I usually write these out over the weekends and then record/edit early in the week, I just always underestimate how long the recording & editing will take.

There has been no huge cliffhanger to the Cecil fight, for making the audience wait two months for just the angstrom fight for the whole episode is wild
never found the first angstrom fight no where remotely close as epic as the first Omni man fight was
I agree, if the cecil fight does happen, it would be a cliffhanger. like in the comics, where mark goes into the white room with cecil and fights some of the reanimen, but the cliffhanger could be with cecil undoing the white light and mark seeing the hundreds of reanimen in the room. most likely though it wont happen, due to the dialogue with cecil and D.A. Sinclair, when sinclair said he had none ready for the field yet.
@@Jaydenisokay I dont think it makes sense to put it in this episode as well though. From a writing perspective, and contextually, I think they showed last episode that they were subverting out expectations of what would happen between Mark and Cecil for the comic readers. They didn't animate his genuine smile of approval after Mark refused to lie to Anissa saying "its not just words" for no reason
Im sure the Angstrom fight will be much more epic in the show, because the comic version of Invincible vs Omniman doesnt hold a candle to the show's version
I think theyre just laying the groundwork for that later on. They wanted to show the tension between the two of them cooling off for the time being IMO.
If this season finale isn't going to be an hour plus long, I'm going to be kinda disappointment 😔
I also think that the little interaction between Cecil and Sinclair where he tells Cecil that the new Reanimen are not close to being finished is a nail in the coffin to not see that this season at all

S3 Conquest finale, S4 Viltrumite War finale
Honestly I see the first Conquest fight in season 3 episode 4 hopefully with good animation and then the season finale is their second fight with a cliffhanger of Nolan, Mark, and Oliver stranded on that planet. I could be wrong and if I am then I don’t care cause that means they can focus on their first fight which I hope is good.
I can't see the series ending with less than 7 seasons

A picture of the next episode was posted on Twitter and it had Mark and Cecil talking during the daytime. So that basically confirms the season won’t end with “I thought you were stronger”

We 100% saw the beat up Nolan scene when kregg was trying to get Nolan to talk and turn back to the viltrumites. I do agree tho we will probably see atleast the beginnings of the prison break. What im wondering is, why and when are we gonna see yellow black suit alternate dimension mark. I think the only change that would upset me is if they do the invincible war and don’t have conquest immidiately after. Although we’ll probably see angstrom gathering alternate invincible towards the end of the episode
I like that the show respects the emotional beats. The show does an excellent job at taking its time when traumatic things happen to the characters. Giving the characters time to sort through their emotions. Unlike a lot of movies today,, where they interrupt an emotional situation with a character,, with a joke or just quickly cut to something else. Before the emotional impact of whatever happens,, seeps in. They don’t give scenes enough time to breathe sometimes. Films interrupted an emotional moment with the characters or cut to another scene so quickly,, You never feel as a viewer,, what the character is going through emotionally. The break up between Mark and Amber,, was well paced. When Mark loses control of his emotions and kills someone,, the trauma of that experience on Mark,, was truly felt and seen in the show. Very well paced & Excellent show. But I still wish they would step up the animation a little bit more. I also hope they don’t take so long to come out with the the 3 season.

immortal finds out Kate is alive and they go to stop her brother multi Paul, mark and angstrom fight, omnipotus cameo, mark kills angstrom and is saved by the future guardians where eve confesses everything, omni man probably says the "I miss my wife" line, art gives mark his new suit probably there's a timelapse after the angstrom fight and Oliver gets older
no idea what the alternate mark could be but I do know it's not ending on a cliffhanger because a new image was released of Mark with a black eye and Cecil which proves he does escape the alternate detention in this episode

You're not the only one scratching your head trying to figure out what's gonna happen next. Which is so much fun even if you get it wrong, which is why I think this show is doing great despite the break we had. It deviates itself slightly from the comics by switching the timelines in which certain arcs happen while also focusing on aspects and ideas that the comics couldn't (like focusing on Amber and Marks Relationship, Having Donald go through an existential crisis when he discovers he's a robot, and other things) which ultimately makes predictions vary so much. Those who have read the comics know what's gonna happen roughly, I believe Kirkman and whoever else is behind the scenes decided to learn from The MCU and decided to make these changes. From personal experience I was a huge marvel fan during the MCU craze and would make pin point accurate predictions as to what would happen in the next movie, it became a gag with my friends because I ruined the movie before it came out. Nowadays the MCU sticks with the same algorithm so it gets boring once you know what's gonna happen. I'm really excited for this show and what's cooking with season 3, sorry for the rant.

I'm soo excited to see what they do with the finale, cause with the way they set it up makes a lot of major plot points possible.
Also this is MAJOR hopful thinking, but i hope they have conquest show up at the very end of the episode.
This was more fun not having watched the previous episode. I can’t wait for season 3 speculation.

I think it’s possible Angstrom already recruited other Mark’s and the shot of Invincible with a cape could be from him and Mark fighting before Mark and Angstrom finish their fight. I don’t know what happens in the comics but if caped invincible is a big villain, it’d be cool to set up their rivalry kind of like they did with Mark and Angstrom in the first episode where Mark wasn’t there to fight Angstrom but the other villains with Angstrom defended him and that all ended with Angstrom getting hurt and hating Mark. So Mark fighting Angstrom and then having to fight Caped Invincible, who then could hate our Mark could be interesting.

Tbh, we saw Josh Keaton as a voice actor in the teasers but we have yet to hear his voice for any of the characters. I highly doubt spider man shows up in the finally but, hear me out-
What if we get a Spider Man/Invincible crossover episode similar to Atom Eve’s episode or Allen’s little mini episode earlier in the season that shows what happens while Mark is in Spider Man’s dimension? Because I have no idea who else Josh Keaton could be voice acting in this show, when we’re literally at the finale and haven’t heard him once.
I might be the only one here, but I hope there’s no Spider-Man in the finale. He’s a ridiculously oversaturated character and i think the focus is should be on Mark, Debbie and Angstrom
I definitely think we’ll be seeing the prison break this episode. Nolan set to return to Earth is a hopeful ending for the season paralleling last season’s ending. It also allows us to get into Space Racer shenanigans in S3E1 on his way back. Also, we were teased Battle Beast at the end of last season, and we haven’t seen him AT ALL this season. Prison Break is the only time we’ll get that paid off.

Tbh, I think if they have Mark vs Cecil, it'll be in season 3 some time. Tho tbh, I could see them finding some way it doesn't happen. Like, maybe they have Mark encounter... I forget his nsme it's been so long, but I think it's the Dinosaur dude? Damn it's been long, I really don't remember, but the guy who got mark to be more on board with being the type of hero who kills and stuff. Maybe they could have that happen first or something. They've already done a whole bunch of shit out of order, it wouldn't be too much a surprise to me.
I think the Cesil fight will be the 2nd half of the episode and Mark will get the blue suit at the very end
unfortunately, I do think theyre gonna end on a cliffhanger with "i thought you were stronger". We didn't get a whole lot of angstrom screentime after the season premiere. I think they're gonna have to take their time and build him up to be so cruel in this one episode for that quote to hit hard at the very end. It's also a great episode title because anyone that doesn't know the comics will assume this is something Angstrom will say in the episode

I’m somewhat expecting Spider-Man. Or hoping? Idk Josh Keaton is in the cast and he hasn’t showed up yet or been seen in trailers so it makes sense. Maybe even if he’s out of frame or something small referencing it will be cool.

They could have Allen and omni man break out this episode too, although it’d be a great starter to S3.
I’d be happy to eat my words! I just think it would make for a great first episode of a season. Leaving the audience knowing that they’re both in prison scheming and maybe giving us a tease of battle beast being in there as well would make the audience hyped to see how that unfolds in the next season.
Not sure why you’re so into the whole Mark and Cecil thing. Its literally just one fight between reanimen and that’s literally it. Its not all that dope, to say the least. It’s obviously not a season finale thing at all, it’s more likely to be near the mid season. So your homework. Obviously next season will end with Conquest for finale and before that will be Invincible War. That means they still have to do the Nolan/Allen prison break and the Cecil/Mark thing before we get to the Invincible war.

The angstrom fight felt super underwhelming. Amber sucks, has always sucked, and continues to suck. I would like to see her die so it would make mark hesitant to engange in another relationship, making the eve relationship have more punch when it happens. Surprised they waited to break omni man out of prison, i thought the cliff hanger would be them discovering space racers gun.
