Beautiful. I think of Both Sides of the Story as even more sincere than Another Day In Paradise. How sad is how underperforming was this song when released.
Not only homless people are out there having a hard life. A broken family, violence and delinquency, little "apartheids", I mean... Are things that still happens today and he talks about them in a really short but direct way.
Besides that, his voice here sounds as strong as never heard before. I mean, in all Both Sides, this song is his best vocal performance.
I can see him and listen to his music every day! Not boring ❤

There are few artists that moved me to such a following. Again, thanks for doing what is you do so damn well.

Both Sides of The Story is still one of Phil's best songs for it's brilliant emotional and thought-provoking lyrics and the album Both Sides are one of my top 3 favorites of Phil's solo albums along with Face Value and No Jacket Required. 🤍💯💯💯

I'll forever admire and be awed by the immense talents of Phil Collins. He is such a multi-talented person who worked so hard to share his gifts with the world. He earned a lot of money and accolades throughout his career, suffered brutal media attacks, and his family life personal relationships, and health (mental and physical) suffered, but he continued to share his gifts. I'd be immensely happy and so excited if he found himself at a place in his life where he wants to and is able to create new music. Hats off to you, Phil! You're an amazing, top-tier talent, and your music (and acting!) has brought so much joy to the world!

I’ve never seen his show even when he came to Brazil with Genesis, because I couldn’t aford for that, but nowadays I watch his video as much I can and he sings beautifully in studio and much better alive with his awesome voice full of great feeling that touches our hearts and soul.For me he’s the BEST as a Human Being and an Artist. i miss his live voice the greatest phil
This is really impressive. At first I thought it was one of those lip synced performances, however, there are definitely differences from the original recording. Phil simply nailed it. As to the backing instrumentals, I believe that is recorded, as the backing vocals clearly are from the original recording and the drums are exact. Maybe they simply made it identical. Not sure.
