That Grant/Breyfogle run on Batman and Detective Comics has a ton of first appearances of fairly notable villains and supporting characters: Anarky, Ventriloquist and Scarface, Renee Montoya, Cornelius Stirk, Mr Zsasz, Rat catcher, Kadaver, Jeremiah Arkham...
Overall I think DC is undervalued compared to Marvel. Especially in Flash and Green Lantern keys. I picked up a Flash 139 for what seemed like a song compared to similar age first appearances of major DC villains.
James- curious if you have any opinions on Legion keys...obviously Adventure 247 is the book but do you see any other LSH keys out there? LSH keys are kinda weird in that they are huge to fans but appear non existent to the community at large. Great job and video as always
Hi James, love the video, especially the selection of ten truly affordable comics. I will keep an eye for them, especially that first Salaak! DC has so many undervalued comics. Like first Tim Drake (Batman 436) or first Stephanie Brown (Detective Comics 647), they are crazy cheap. Two possible ideas for your Marvel undervalued video: Uncanny X-men 317. First appearance of Blink. She was introduced in the Age of Apocalypse story and was the team leader in the long-running Exiles series. She had her own mini-series and there are a lot of Blink-fans out there. She also keeps popping up in new stories. Yet her first appearance can still be found for cheap, I found it in crisp NM in a eurobox (euro is about one dollar). X-Force 125, first Dead Girl. She was a member of the weird, but hilarious X-Static team. And now she popped up again as a counselor in the Strange Academy series. This book is rising a bit in value, but can still be found in the bins. This one feels more speculative, but is a lot of fun. Bonus tip here: X-Force 124, it is often in the bin right next to this one. Zero value, but that's a Darwyn Cooke cover! Greetings!

I’m with you, every week I come home from my LCS and read Image first. I think my indie pull list is getting bigger than my DC🥶 Keep up the great work James!
I think a lot of DC books are being under valued because the Marvel Cinematic Universe is so popular right now it is driving the sales. I am more of a DC than Marvel fan but I agree that the DC movies are not as good as the Marvel movies. On the brightside dc fans can get good books for a good deal
I did hear DC are pumping billions in to future movies. They know Marvel is to dominant & there fan base is huge! I believe DC are having a sit back and pre-planned strategy for the long term. DC comics are undervalued so a great time to buy before the roles reverse.

There is a pair of comics that features the final team up of Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson before Fick switched from the Robin identity to Nightwing. New Teen Titans#37 and Batman and the Outsiders#5 featured the final team up of The Dynamico Duo in November 1983.

I think most Keys are overrated and overvalued, there are a few on this list I can agree with, mainly the 50 cent/dollar bin ones. Never seen Tec 608 for less than $10. Heck I can’t even find the books for anything close to your prices, at least 3x those prices,
I think the most likely reason so many of these are so cheap is because to someone like me, who is mostly a Marvel guy, I've never heard of a single one of these characters whose first appearances these are (except psycho pirate and that's only because of Tom King). They're not mainstream enough for people to care enough to drive the prices up.

I don’t think you can find those SA Showcase books in mid-grade for cheap, at least not at any places that I have looked. And that Tec 457 is easily a $50+ book in FN or better condition (I agree that it’s a great cover). Thanks for the picks.
That’s way more important. Honestly the way the comics are slabbed and collected (like trading cards), people should care less about first appearances and more about first cover appearance.

I was exclusively a marvel collector before I started watching your videos. After watching your videos, I started getting into a lot more of the dc stuff. I'm just about to read swamp thing and the sandman.

I have a lot of superboy comics. I would love to add those 2 to my collection. I used to have them in my collection then COVID hit and lost my job and unemployment wouldn't approve my claim and I lost my storage unit with my massive comic collection, video game collection, and My brothers stuff. I started my collection again about a year and a half ago. I'm at 1800 comics now. You helped me get into collecting again. I love your channel and videos. Keep up the good work.
Yeah, I’m more of a DC guy myself. I do enjoy Marvel, Image, Boom, etc, but DC really dominates by collection.

Anarchy is such an Underrated villain in the Batman world. There could be some great philosophical battles and stories told between him and Batman 🔥🔥🔥

I literally just hung my triple signed copy of JL 5 on my wall next to a Maguire GG sketch from Baltimore last year.
