- A full on ride video of Monster Mansion. Monster Mansion, formally known as Monster Plantation, just reopened late May 2009 with new lighting, sound, characters, and new effects.
We got bombarded with bubbles when we first went in! I was so happy to see it revamped. I'm glad they kept the original characters too. The only thing I miss is that the big mouth at the end used to do something besides blow a horn. I think it used to sneeze and mist you....
it dropped down a bit too!!!
I LOVE THIS RIDE!! THE DRAGIN AT THE END IS SUPER LOUD THOUGH!!!

It was an absolute delight and a great break from the GA weather from Hell! on the other hand our 3 year old was scared and covered her eyes. can't wait for next year's trip to 6 Flags!
The ride has never looked better! They did a great job!

@xwolbx it has that water smell all of those kind of rides do. It doesn't smell like over chlorinated water idk what it is, but i love it lol.

HStubble123 Sadly they had to change the name. Because people thought the word plantation was a problematic word. Sad.

ride too but not at the same time we got on we has so much fun that day
i remember of a time when this was a thrilling ride
My two friends and I went at RIGHT at 8 o clock (closing time during Spring Break) so it was just us and this mother with her son and there were no lines. It was so much fun hahahaha just taking it easy after Batman, Superman, Goliath, and Mind Bender!
I like the new version. I like the like photo thing at the beginning along with the way they completely redid the entrance with the steps and all, and Miss Scarlett looks a hell of alot better. I also like the lighting effects when you go in the marsh along with Billy Bob's cannon (thats funny to me). And the mouth at the end (also known as the Boat Eater) is still there.

Yeah im glad they updated it. but im gonna miss the old monster plantation. I didnt care to much for the very last were it honked at you. what was that about? oh well.

I hate this ride. I went on it purely for the cute monsters outside of the building (plus some one told me it was like the "its a small world after all" ride). I hate hate hate animatronics:(
You know you failed at making a ride if disney has made scarier tower of terror great movie ride(the alien part he jumps out of the ceiling) even the haunted mansion
