Great video Colton! I use to have a bedroom/work space all in one room. I found myself feeling every time I would go to bed, I was looking at a desk and waking up looking at a desk. Sometime it would get very cluttered with gear and not having proper storage. I was gifted a stand up table on wheels. I now basically have my editing studio on one desk. I can wheel it around the house and only have to unplug to move it. I found I needed to be around people during a family medical challenge, so when I am doing work, I am in and around family. Is it perfect, no, but having a separate work and bed has helped. I agree with you! I have wasted so much time trying to max my space. I was spending all my time on the space or the equipment to make the space. Still working on decluttering. Thanks for your studio tour and insight!

Totally agree! Especially with your workstation being in the same space as your bed. Some people can do it no problem, but I am not one of those people. I'm glad to hear that you have a setup that works for you now! The idea of having it on wheels is pretty cool! Nice to be able to move it around. Do you have everything plugged into a central power strip that is attached to the desk? or do you have a lot to unplug when you want to move it?

@@ColtonMatocha Yeah, I use a power strip that is magnetic on the desk leg, currently I have a mini pc and monitor, mac min, iMac to do work on. monitor is raised up so I can tuck all my external drives. Attached headphone holder..etc only wish the table had some form of a nick knack drawer, it does have a side pouch.

@@thissidetowardscreen4553 That sounds like a great setup! Makes me want to slap some wheels on my desk and hit the circuits! I bet you could get one of those attachable drawers where you screw them underneath the desktop. That's what I did to add some drawers to my desk! But I got cheap ones off Amazon. I'd recommend looking for better quality than the cheap plastic ones.

One place I always got good street photography photos was Harvard Square. There is a circle you can kind of walk around and get really nice photos of people. I tried downtown Boston and just did not do as good.

You would think Boston would be great, but I guess that goes to show that reality doesn't always match expectation! I love that Harvard Square is a circle! Did I read that right? 😆

@@ColtonMatocha Yes there is a kind of a circle you can kind of walk around the block and there are interesting stores around and little off beat roads to walk a little. So there is always something interesting to get.
Some street photographers do downtown Boston but its more like people care about going to their job or getting the train or something. Harvard is more relaxed with people having a bit of fun.

I'm a capitalist but not a corporatist. I like to think of it like Toyota and Honda that make cars that last a long time. They care about the products they make. Other car companies are always redesigning something and ending up with more engine issues that those cars break down.
A true capitalist cares about their customers and plays the long game like Toyota did and became the number one car company.
Not all Japanese companies have the mind set like Toyota but some do. I forget the name but if there is a problem Everyone has a right to talk and give their opinion on the assembly line right down to the the new guy that just started all the way up to the CEO. They work together as a team to fix the issue to make a better product. Can't say that about a lot of companies.

Phew... I've spent most of the vid trying to process your punctuated shirt - wasn't expecting to start my day with a challenge of That magnitude. Anyway... the learning I got is that you're organized - something I always recognize in others as it sets them apart from me. Highlight was seeing the mighty 645D. Low point was the cheap shot about old ppl and steps... just u wait, puppy. All 'n all - nice 2 c ya. PS - my creative space is a giant void between my ears. Ciao.

I need to flex my fashion statements now and again so I can really be the "artist" I want to be 😂
Each day I take a step closer to being old and each day I feel safe knowing I've already purchased the step ladder I'll need in my twilight years. It's an investment!
Thanks for watching! I always look forward to your insight. The space between the ears is a clever one!

@@ColtonMatocha Nah... great shirt. The ladder... if it's not made in the USA, Japan or Germany, you may want to keep your eyes open for a 'spare'. I try to keep the space empty because then it's receptive, but there also needs to be a prior determination of broad purpose so it knows what to be receptive to! So, that and aging DSLRs... all the excuse I need. 😊
