- There CANNOT be many of these out there...just THINK! Purchased new and in a private home since then, this is STUNNING! Still has the high gloss glow on the cabinet...and behind the boards, the factory insulator still in place! You may NEVER see a HUO Comet again! PLUS...right next to this machine, another rarity! A STAR LIGHT...only 100 made!!
#starlight #Williams #cometpinball
One of my favorites!!!
WOW! Sitting on the first floor of my house is a Williams Comet I purchased new in 1985 and a Williams High Speed I purchased new in 1986, both games were only played on occasion by my kids while growing up, I have kept the games in mint condition, I have had the rubber changed and the games tweaked over the years to keep them in optimum condition, they are absolutely perfect out of the box, what magnificent games Ive had over my lifetime!
+SuperJewMan100 Goldentongue WOW...thats NEAT! Glad you kept them all this time!!
Another good video
Never played it, and have to say..for the era, there is a lot going on, and great light show. I can see why it was so popular. Great restore as always.
gallimead Very little needed to be done on this beauty!
Wow, beautiful table! I spent a ton of cash on this game back in 86. In fact, if I recall correctly the first time I played this was about 30 minutes after I learned of the Challenge Disaster in the US (I'm a Canuck). I played it at the arcade in the mall in Thunder Bay, Ont. I didn't live there, just was touring with my band at the time and playing there. Good times - except for the horrific Challenge disaster, of course. Great video! TNT Amusements looks like an amazing place! WOW!
moxxi Glad it brought back memories! Keep watching!!
Wowza! That's a gorgeous machine😗😱
vwpswp Yes! Customer was thrilled tonight when we delivered it!
I remember this game. I used to go to one of the pizza place down in Puerto Rico and I saw it. I played it and it was fun. Lots of sounds of explosions where you can score after hitting a million, and it sounds like a bomb dropped from World War 2. Very good game, and I still missed this one.
It seems to have a growing number of fans these days!
best game ever. miss it :(
I just bought one
Beautiful condition
transtremm Thanks!!
Glad you sold it Todd, just finished a family guy and it is nice. See you friday
Colin Moorhead Great!! See you then Colin!
Great game, wow only 100 star lights. That's really rare.
Riz2336 I have seen only one other in all these years!
I played this game a lot in the mid to late 80s. I only got the million shot once on the game. Fun game. A vendor had this game at a bar my cousin managed, and the vendor told me they had at least 15 Comets
+Paul W It was VERY popular with vendors....and made them all alot of money!
I wonder why they didn't use FM music in this game? The capability was available at the time.
What a rare find! I just got mine running and love it. I'm going to add some more leds to the playfield because the artwork is awesome and the game isn't bright enough in certain areas like by the vortex ramp.
Yes...extra LED's are in order!
i also remember the dunk tank dummy saying ''c'mon, get me'', as well as even taunting the player by calling him/her ''turkey!'' (which reflects in real life since dunk tank participants often take verbal shots at the ball thrower so he/she can spend more money on getting the target). As for the dunk tank thing, it would be used again in 1991's Hurricane, and even Stern's pinball adaptation of Roller Coaster Tycoon had a dunk the dummy (which usually had a troll figure as the ''dummy'') gimmick shot
figment1988 Yes...he says it during this video!
I fell in love with Comet back when it first came out. I happily dumped lots of quarters into it. It was in a Milwaukee tavern. They sold lots of beer and pizza to a friend and I because we would go there just for Comet. I am saving up to buy one now. I expect just over $3,000 and have heavy van to pick it up myself. I am worried about it becoming a coat rack, though. What is the average use and ultimate fate of privately owned single pinball tables?
COLEY FOLEY SPENT: HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS ON THIS GAME. (YOU CANNOT BEAT HIM... HAHAHA!)
hi Todd can you just ship it to me NOW! soooooo nice
alan p Ahhh! You'll have to wait for the NEXT one! This one is now in its new owners gameroom!
what was the amount $$$ you sold this for and what does it cost to buy one of these in 2024?
and hope your enjoying chicago. dad had a good laugh (well actually we did) complains Chicago is the most violent city in the nation. and he stays overnight coming back in St Louis (the actual #2 most deadly city) (fortunately he did at least listen to my reason. If he hates Illinois , Missouri is much worse. So state near east St Louis. :) still though 17 miles to Ferguson is too close to me , I'd protest but I can't risk that. (SSD) Love the game although I might get sunburned..
Already got some great footage here...and it hasen't even started!
TNT Amusements Inc
isn't that how it always happens. course now it's usually memory cards now so hopefully it takes a few unless it's something else
I just fixed one of these but the playfeild has almost no art left....
the guy has a NoS feild signed by Python but i told him not to put it in unless he'd have it touched up an cleared.
Yes...the game was well played, thats for sure!! Quite a few out there probably are in similar shape!
