- It's Day 2 of our Sahara Desert Tour with Top Desert. We finally make it into Erg Chigaga, the more remote erg of the two major Sahara destinations in Morocco. In fact, it we left the road completely behind and drove off-road, through the sand and dunes for almost 2 hours to reach our desert camp. We also give you a tour of the desert camp and a taste of what camping in Erg Chigaga is like. Why time of the year did you go? I have an upcoming trip in early December and are wondering about the weather.
We went beginning of December! It was a little chilly at night but overall really nice. In the afternoons we could walk around without jackets
