Did you put any new parts on it? I noticed that you changed your wheels too? Could that be an issue? I would start by inspecting your endlinks. Are they properly lubricated? Are they factory originals that need to be replaced?
moog actaully reboxes "three five" parts from japan.. sometimes autozone and oreillys will have that part as well. it will have a "555" stamp. summit racing also sells moog for a really cheap price if it is a lower ball joint or tie rod. let us know what solves it for you! my guess for this issue would have to be either lower ball joint or tie rod ends. and is this only on one side?
Yeah, it was the lower ball joint (I renamed the video after replacing it years later lol). It was a very easy job with the right separator tool. Well, easy enough anyway, you do have to take a lot of stuff apart.
If it makes the noise, it needs to be replaced. I was able to get mine to stop making noise by washing it out real good in there, getting the dirt out eliminated the noise. I rode like this for 4 years before I changed them, the noise always came back
@@miguelaguilar8632 Well, you can be absolutely sure that you do NOT want this thing just suddenly failing. it's not very expensive or hard to replace, so I would recommend just doing both sides, so you can rest easy!
gold94corolla Oh, my bad. I meant Ball joints. I read on Club Lexus and MyIS forums that the lower ball joints usually start to go after 100K miles. And some folks have already experienced this with similar symptoms. If you jack the car up, and put some sort of pry bar wedged in there, OR just try to move the tire In & Out (perpendicular to the car) with your hands. If it has play in it, then you found your problem. Ball Joints... Love your car though, super clean/VIP ride. Also, you've been a great contributor on the Toyota Nation forum as well. Thank you.
Tommy Miller Thanks for the help and compliments Tommy! Yeah I did my research, and ball joints seems to be the problem. The noise really isn't that bad, but it will need to be replaced soon. I was/am planning to jack up the car and do the tests this weekend, and remove the wheel and take a look (plush wash everything lol)
gold94corolla Right on. I hear great things about (Federal-Mogul) Moog suspension parts. It would be about $60 for both Right & Left Lower ball joints.
Yeah I usually use MOOG, but I'm going to go with OEM parts this time, really don't want to take a chance lol. Of course, something might just be dirty or need grease, it wasn't making the noise today after it rained.
Yeah that sounds like the lower ball joints.. To check just jack up your car on that side..and place a pry bar under the tire. (For better leverage)...If you can find any play wail prying the tire up.. The lower ball joint are bad. (Really easy to replace)..Good luck!
***** Thanks, yeah I wasn't able to get any play out of it, however some really good chemical cleaning too care of the dirt/noise and it's been fine since! not looking forward to the inevitable ball joint job though lol
That's Right. all I use was a breaker bar with a 17mm socket, an outer tie rod remover tool, needler nose pliers to remove the cotter pin, and a torque wrench to tie everything back to specs..Easy afternoon job.. LOL
Exactly how mind sounded but I replaced inner and outer tie rods, sway bar bushings, sway bar links and lower ball joints oem while it was apart
Good idea to replace everything in there while you're at it. It's all rather old and worn out by now!
@@gold94chica brother do you have the wheel name and specs? Please
@@chrisxsol yessir: the wheels are WORK Emotion Kiwami (CR Ultimate), the fronts are 18"x8.5" +30mm offset, and rears are 18"x9.5" +30mm offset

Did u finally get it fixed, was it the ball joints???
Yeah, it was the lower ball joint (I renamed the video after replacing it years later lol). It was a very easy job with the right separator tool. Well, easy enough anyway, you do have to take a lot of stuff apart.
Mine used to do that but it stopped by itself is that bad?

It stopped making the noise but I have bad alignment. It started making the noise again when It got an alignment.
Yep, I would definitely replace it

Tie Rod
What about ur end links or ball joints? Endlinks are the one component that move ur wheel. I'd say inspect those.
I said the endlinks were new lol, I'm thinking it's the ball joints bummer
