- Tory Deshon Casey, 30, appeared with his attorney Suzanne Klein before Circuit Court Judge Gary C. Giguere, Jr. Tuesday May 30, 2017 for sentencing. Casey was found guilty by a jury of one count first-degree criminal sexual conduct. A victim accused Casey of holding her at gunpoint, drove her to a secluded area in Richland, struck her in the head before sexually assaulted her. The victim, a 30-year-old woman, said Casey was an acquaintance who had given her a ride.

I'm old enough to remember a life sentence for first degree murder was 20 years. This is a double murder sentence for a crime of first degree rape.

If you going to prison for a minimum of 35 years, you ain’t ever getting out. You gonna have to do things in there that will get you more cases and more time, and/or denial of parole for the full 60 years. I think how long it took to get to 35 years old, or how long it will take to get to 70 now...I never been to prison and sure as Hell couldnt imagine sitting in one for 35 years or more....
