  • Indonesia's high-speed train from Jakarta to Bandung. How's the new high-speed train in Indonesia like? Let's test the Whoosh train!
Indonesia has recently launched it's first ever high-speed train. It's also the first high-speed train in all of southeast Asia. The "Whoosh" train is the second fastest train in the world, only outperformed by a Chinese train. I have never been on a high-speed train before, so I was quite excited for this experience on my journey from Jakarta to Bandung. Let's take the whoosh train from Jakarta to Bandung and see what it's like! Join me.

From the layout and design of high-speed rail stations to ticket buying, checking in, entering the station, etc., everything is the same as China's high-speed rail. This is a complete set of mature and efficient high-speed rail solutions. You must know that this has been verified by more than one billion passengers in China. and optimized, so it is a very mature and efficient solution. After taking the Indonesian high-speed rail and later coming to China, you will find that everything is so familiar and cordial.

China's infrastructure capabilities are very strong. The great thing about China is that its infrastructure progress and economic growth can surprise everyone. China's high-speed rail mileage has reached more than 40,000 kilometers, ranking first in the world, while Spain has only more than 5,000 kilometers, ranking second in the world. world. The difference is huge. I've taken China, Taiwan (Shinkansen), Eurostar high speed train from London to Paris and Italy. China's high-speed trains are the smoothest. At this stage the true owner is China Development Bank that financed the line. Seven trains in each direction mean that 8274 seats are offered daily, a schedule that can be assured by leaving 9 of the 11 CR400AF trains in storage. If this video is indicative, less than 4000 passengers make the trip daily, less than 5% of the ridership needed to pay back the loans on a $50 million/km HSR. Fortunately the loans come with a 10 year grace period but Indonesia needs to act to improve the connections in Halim and Tegalluar.

Hi, Ken. Glad that you're here and had the chance to try our brand new high speed train. You have lots of experiences in Malaysia and The Philippines, so I hope your visit here gives us all some new insights and perspectives. In fact, the first time I knew you was from a video of another RUclipsr.
As a rail enthusiast, of course this is exciting! Did you manage to take Jakarta's MRT/LRT/airport train as well?
Padalarang is an existing railway station, but then they added a new part for the high speed train service. From Padalarang, you may transfer to the local train to city center or take an intercity train to other parts of Java. Anw, Tegalluar itself is still in the outskirts of Bandung, you need continue the journey by another mode of transportation to city center.

Hahaha, China has no intention of competing with Japan, after all, the market will determine who is better. The Chinese government is just responding to the "the Belt and Road" policy and hopes that countries will become more prosperous. This is also the reason for the transfer of high-speed rail technology.

Wifi is available on most China high speed trains when I was travelling there, but I didn't use it because you have to download an app and it only has chinese version. In any case, I have already bought a local SIM card, so wifi onboard isn't important to me. I think it's up to the Indonesian authority whether they want to provide free wifi onboard, which is additional cost to them. Maybe this is not a long haul train journey (about 40mins), so they prob don't see the need to? Also I saw an intro by other vloggers, there's a dining section.

India isnt a small island nation like sri Lanka or a not much looted country with no religious fights cause of a dominating religion like indonesia with only a dominating culture and language. India is a vast country with brilliant young students with high it skills and is multicultural, secular, multilingual county with vast amount of people. India is a country that was found to be the best to live in the old days which led to the greatest old civilizations and lead to This overcrowding problem. Neither sri lanks nor indonesia nor any other country has the might to stay intact with such ampunt of internal conflicts while also dealing with rouge external forces while in their most doelwn state that is after independence period while fighting with china and pakistan over much needed water sources in jammu and kashmir. India is more than your country in every way and i told you all thia because yes i was triggered by your thought of india doesnt have this. India is the pharma giant and is the reason for you getting this cheap medicines while it is not the case in western countries, imdia is the reason for sri Lankan govt to evenbe there as we helped yaa when china trapped you in its debt trap. I am still trying to grasp what made you compare another countries development with a country that might not have it but doesn't have any role in this. India never said an opinion on this and why. India will rise more that thia country and india have more importance in south Asia than any other country. India has build its own semi highspeed train, their own rapid train etc.

Enjoy. Congratulations to Indonesia for improving their infrastructure a win-win cooperation with China.
Here in Australia we are left behind with our transport system, nothing has improved since the 1960’s.

As far as I know, EMU that have speed above 200 km/hour are categorized as high speed trains. And bullet train if that train can reach above 300km/hour. Because the current DMU is generally ideal, safe and reliable if the maximum operating speed is 160km/hour.
