@@chrnnk Thank you so much for your kind words! But yeah I’m more than happy to make videos like this when I can leverage technology in my hobbies :)
Awesome work sir. I had a small issue where I was getting stuck on android boot screen. I redirected to windows 11 through bios and cleared a duplicate rEFind entry in the partition, and that resolved the issue. I haven't used this old SP3 in years, but I'm excited to play with it again now.
Great instructions! Was able to install on my SP3. Do you have any guides on how to make sleep mode work instead of powering it off between use? Thanks!
Awesome video. This was exactly what I was trying to do. Recently got into DnD and wanted to use the DnDB app, but the only tablet I have is a Surface Pro 3. I knew there had to be a way to get Android working on it. Can't wait to give it a shot when I get home from work. Have you noticed any better battery life running Android instead of Windows? I've noticed my Surface running on fumes after extended sessions using Windows, so I'm hoping Android is a bit lighter. Any issues or hiccups you've noticed?
Im very happy that you found this video interesting! I have seen a slight change in my battery usage that prolonged it due to it being lighter. Please let me know how it goes :)
@@johnwooten7775 to do this, you can skip the section of partition the HD and go directly to the portion when you install BlissOS. The differences is you would select the main Hard Drive to install BlissOS. Now the reason the interface is clean is because I'm using the Windows side to manage everything. If this is done, you would need to use the keyboard to log into the Android side. Also if you wanted to go back to windows, it would require a new installation of windows to re-wipe everything. long story short is yes it can be done, but I can't whole heartily recommend it if the surface is someone's only computer they have access to. Nice video and it gave me an idea. Would this work on a regular Surface 3 (so not the pro)? I have one of those collecting dust. I would be using it as a controller for Roon (basically a fancy music server). I could do this in Windows but for Android there also is an app to control my amplifier that’s not available in Windows. So in Android I can control everything right from the tablet without the need for an additional remote and since I haven’t been using this tablet for years now, perhaps I can make it useful once again...

@VolcanicKnight I've tried it today running it in evaluation mode from the usb drive, but it wasn't a great success. With any of the three built in launchers I get errors. Hi! Assuming it is already enabled on the command line, there is a possibility that the refined software is not 100% compatible with other versions of surfaces besides the pro3. You can try to re install refined and if it doesn't work, you may need to uninstall it.
Now on separate good news is that refind is just a bootlauncher, meaning its just one of many programs that can work with my process, but one for the pro4 is just not something familiar with at this point in time.

Hi Kaleidovision, and thank you for watching. Unfortunately, a dule boot is the only solution for this, but 8gb should be enough for the OS. When you get to the later stages of the video, I talk about getting a separate micro SD card that can be used for storage space on blissOS side
