That's Tommee Profitt on the piano. He's a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and record producer (known for his production work with rapper NF). Jordan Smith is a singer/songwriter from Harlan, Kentucky and won season 9 of The Voice in 2015.
Michael English was the first person who recorded this song. It originally was not intended to be a Christmas song but later became a wonderful reminder of what Christ did for us. Mark Lowrey deserves all the credit on writing this amazing song!
Voctave, featuring the original songwriter Mark Lowry, has, hands down, the best rendition of this song. The power, beauty & meaning of this song shines through when Mark sings it. It is breathtaking, actually.
Famous song. Jordan Smith is a rabbit hole you wanna fall down for sure. You have to hear him with Celine Dion or his soulful cover of Somebody to Love. He is a rare counter tenor with amazing range and control. Jordan already did a cover of this. This is a more recent performance of it
Not just one of my fav Christian songs, but one of my all time fav!!! This orchestral arrangement is amazing ! Jordan Smith def did justice to this powerful song. He was the winner of the 2015 “The “Voice. From his audition song, it was apparent he would winner, nobody else came close. Check out Mark Lowry (the lyricist behind this amazing song) singing it with Voctave. You will love it!
You had me rolling in the beginning. 100% agree everything sounded amazing! Of course, every knee shall bow and every mouth confess that Jesus is Lord! ;p
Jordan has always had a great voice, that's why he won The Voice singing for Team Adam. You should check out some of his performances from that season. Laith Al Saadi was awesome too and totally worth a listen if want to hear a baritone male voice.
Wroonng... Google .. The song was originally recorded by Christian artist Michael English in 1991 on his debut solo album. Kathy Mattea first recorded "Mary, Did You Know?" in 1993 on her album Good News.
The original lyricist was Mark Lowry who penned it in 1985 & his friend from the Gaither band wrote the music in 1991. It was first recorded by a member of the Gaither band shortly after that, but I imagine Mark has sung it way more than anyone else as it is considered his song.
jordan smith absolutely blew out the other competition on the voice one season. His riffs are still so natural and easy for him. I still prefer mark lowery singing it but just such a good song
Great tonality even though such a great orchestra deserves fantastic whistle tone which great runs and riffs on the same whistle tone especially during the interlude of the orchestra
But did she REALLY know or fully comprehend all that her baby would become. I doubt it. The author is having a conversation with Mary basically asking what it was like raising Jesus.
He is talking about CHRIST JESUS. * That was a Blood Sacrifice on that cross, was buried for three days, and rose again. * He did this to pay for ALL MANKINDS Past, Present, and Future sins. * Once you BELIEVE on Jesus and what he did for you, you are forgiven and saved, and will have ETERNAL LIFE. **JESUS IS COMING ANYTIME NOW.....DONT BE LEFT BEHIND...✝️👑🙏💖
Mother Mary.. she DID know. Mother of the Living God !!
what a beautiful delivery of a beautiful song...
Loved the realization on your face on the song being about Mary the mother of Jesus😂
I like the fact he did not remove that he didn't realize. True authentic reaction!
😂made me giggle too

The whole Christmas concert a king is born tommee proffit (piano) is perfection. Jordan won the voice!
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO "Is Mary famous"? I am deaddddddddddd! 🤣🤣
I had the same reaction. 🤣🤣🤣 "Is it a doctor?". 🤣🤣🤣
You should look up Jordan’s journey on the voice. Everyone knew from his first audition that he was going to win the voice.
Great rendition of a beautiful song, the orchestra really adds a lot. Always brings tears to my eyes. Mark Lowery is the author & original performer.
Youve actually reacted to Jordan Smith before- which was "Somebody to Love" from The Voice competition
Jordan is from Harlan, Kentucky. He won "The Voice."
Tommee does all of NFs music
And Jordan won The Voice
Thank you for giving this to me
Stunning beautiful. Loved every second of it.
My friend you need to watch the entire 2 hour concert from Tommee Profitt - 18 performers - all amazing.
That was funny that you didn't recognize who mary was. Then I busted a gut seeing the light bulb come on. Absolutely hilarious!!!

Jordan's song Only Love is a great one to listen to and he plays the piano in it
Check out the version with Voctave and Mark Lowry. Vocal gold.

Erik Grönwall oh holy night , AMAZING
Love Jordan. He won the Voice many years ago. (Team Adam) His voice is impeckable.
You have reacted to Jordan before. It was his version of somebody to love on the voice. It was a while ago though. He is phenomenal 😊
Check out Jordan's performances on the voice!
This is a famous Christian song. Jordan won the voice a few years ago.
You had me rolling in the beginning. 100% agree everything sounded amazing!
Of course, every knee shall bow and every mouth confess that Jesus is Lord! ;p
I was just thinking about this song a couple days ago. Wild how that works. 1:41 Marry is Jesus' Mom.
Watch his The Voice audition.
This was originally by Mark Lowery
Tommee Profitt is the composer in this. He also does several of big theatrical music compositions on NF songs.
Tommee did not write this song. Lyrics were written by Mark Lowrey in the 1980's I believe & then Buddy Greene wrote the music in the early 1990's.
Jordan has always had a great voice, that's why he won The Voice singing for Team Adam. You should check out some of his performances from that season.
Laith Al Saadi was awesome too and totally worth a listen if want to hear a baritone male voice.
The original singer of this song is Kathy Matteo. She recorded it back in the early 90s. Her catalog is beautiful.

@@Rkbmomma possibly David Phelps another phenomenon of a Tenor

Indeed, his riffs are tastefully done and on key. Most singers riff all over the place, sound terrible & overdo them.
2:30 someone catches on.
MrLBoyd this is my favorite Christmas song I appreciate your reactions
I think this guy won The Voice...I forgot what season though...I like this...Love Home Free's version too...
Jordan won Season 9 of The Voice in 2015.
Great tonality even though such a great orchestra deserves fantastic whistle tone which great runs and riffs on the same whistle tone especially during the interlude of the orchestra
"Home Free" did a phenomenal job with this song, but then they do that with all the covers they do.
Now you need to listen to Pentatonix - Mary Did You Know.
Pentatonix did a great cover of this song to
Mark Lowery penned this song when he was still with the Gaithers I believe he was still with them.
lol i thought you were joking at first and then you caught it and i was like oh man now he gots it
Mary, mother of Jesus.
Thank you for your content. I look forward to seeing you react to people. I am very aware I am going to get a great reaction.
The mother of Jesus
Check out Pentatonix version
Mary is the mother of Jesus..
Bruh...the realization. But you didn't recognize the tune immediately?
Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ
Tommee Profitt also did this one...... ruclips.net/video/OsfGJuugPUk/видео.html
The song is silly though. Of course she knew. An Angel told her.
But did she REALLY know or fully comprehend all that her baby would become. I doubt it. The author is having a conversation with Mary basically asking what it was like raising Jesus.
